For the 1st Chicago show he mentioned that a friend of his requested this and since he is the only one in the band who knows it, he will have to do it by himself. So he proceeded to do When It is Cold I'd like to Die while playing the guitar, Nothing else, very powerful. Speaking of When it is cold... I'm still bitter over how the set at sessions at west 54th street was cut, dropping Mimi's rare appearance with Moby to perform When it is cold and I think Into the Blue also? hopefully these performances will turn up someday. Also, just a reminder for when people are replying to a message, to change the subject line to reflect more concisely what the post is about and if you can edit out the unnecccessary original posts that would be great. Hello there! As you may have guessed from the subject of my email, I am new to this list. So I figure it's my duty to introduce myself..... Well, my name is Rebecca, but everyone calls me Beck! I am 14, so probably one of the youngest on this list, butlove making new friends and meeting new people with similar interests, regardless of their age - so I hope no-one will think less of me coz of my age! I will be 15 in November, and on the evening of my birthday (18th Nov.) I am seeing Moby @ the Wembley Arena with loadsa mates! Wickid! I currently only own "Play" but have heard some of his older stuff, tho just don't have it! I started liking Moby aaaaaggggeeeessss ago now, but have only recently got into him more - since hearing Play. It irritates me when people say they love Moby, but have only heard Porcelain, it's just sooooo annoying when they say that! Play is on my playlist of fave albums, in my top 5 ever and is constantly blaring out of my stereo and walkman. Fave tracks on the album are......BODYROCK (of course), RUN ON (wickid), SOUTH SIDE and MACHETE. But found it extremely hard to narrow it down to those 4, all 18 tracks are sooooo good. My taste in music varies, from Indie, to Rock, to 80s stuff and Punk. I love most indie stuff - as for punk and rock, I am a very big fan of Nirvana and Foo Fighters, but also like music like Crowded House and Deep Blue Something. So as you can probably tell I like a bit of everything! I love listening to new stuff, or just bands that I haven't heard much of, it's great when someone introduces me to something new - so any recommendations of slightly less mainstream bands??? I'm open for suggestions..... That's about all from me for now, (I expect you fell asleep after the first few lines anyway!) so anyone who wants to know more about me or if u just want a chat - email me! I thought it was a mighty good article, since it approached Moby's own publicly voiced opinions on organized religion and then compared it to how Christianity- as a faith- should be approached.
