I know Moby lists all the equipment he uses for the Everything is Wrong album in the liner notes for that cd.... check the Play notes.... there might be a similar list. As for samples, moby won't know for the most part. Unless it's something that shatters his world like "sounds of the south", he doesn't remember things like titles or where he got them. People have been trying to find out what he sampled for the single version of "Hymn" for six years, and he just doesn't remember. ===== Bradley S. Good point, and you're right. What I think I was trying to get at is that.. slavery is obviously against Christ's teachings. However, those who practiced slavery found justification in the Bible anyway, and called themselves Christians. Now, both were wrong according to Christ. But just like how slavery is in the past, and it's time to move on, people should get past the polygamy thing, too. Beating on Mormons over polygamy is like beating on my great great great whatever owning a slave. (Actually I don't know if anyone in my family owned slaves, but I guess it's possible.) Neither one is productive, and it just screams to have someone recite the glass houses maxim. Ok, enough about that. This is far too heavy discussion for the Holidays. :-) Oh yes, the Moby bit: MTV.com has some clips, pictures, etc, of Moby and Gwen on Fashionably Loud. Including Moby smiling for the camera with models. LOL I'm not gonna try giving a direct link because MTV's site is all newfangled. Elissa Oh, just FYI, your humourous definition of agnostic wasn't lost on everyone on the list. I believe so. The Book of Mormon doesn't condone polygamy, but Joseph Smith changed his mind, contradicting his own book later on, and stated that it was a *necessity* so that they could become "gods". My main points of contention about Mormonism are based on their theology, not merely polygamy. Yeah, I view polygamy as being weird, but I object mostly to their beliefs that are more strikingly different from Biblical guidelines like those I mentioned previously. > > >And then there is one >> >last thing. Their B.O.M. flat-out contradicts the Bible on many counts. They do have roots in the Christian church, but so do many other Christianity-derived cults, such as the Unification Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Christian Scientists. >You know, it's this kind of judging that makes Moby hesitate calling himself >"Christian." If Mormons didn't even pretend to be Christians, I'd object less to their teachings. I would imagine that if Moby were around people who wanted to be known as vegans, yet who redefined all of the important aspects of what it means to be a vegan, he'd be similarly irritated.
