They mentioned a few artists I didn't care for (the singer from Sugar Ray who was surprisingly good on "Rock n Roll Jeopardy"), but no mention of Moby, but I figured that's when it'd air. I have always been an artist, but never earned my living formally by it....play a lot on the computer with my own paintings and photos lately...I am compelled to write too....and of course, related to why I am on this list, I thrive in the exploration of music, purely as a listener .....all these interests are always present in my living. I have mentioned already, that I saw Moby twice this year. The most recent time, I recruited a fellow first grade teacher when my friend couldn't make it; I was fortunate to find a colleague who always didnt fit neatly in the teacher mold...and someone enlightened about music, a fast friend and, by the end of the show's first song, a Moby lover. I am glad someone on the list asked, and do find it interesting to read what people on the list do for a living, but more interesting is how people diminish the stereotypes of their professions, jobs and chronological ages. I am 39, only months from 40, but continue to find vibrant growth and continual inspiration in music....and like Anne, and the eternal old man, I too can dance. - ------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send mail to majordomo@xmission.com with the line "unsubscribe mobility" in the body. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Jan 2001 10:14:41 +0000 From: Martin James Subject: Re: (mobility) Re: mobility-digest V4 #499 I am a music and popular culture journalist/ author and also founder of Kingcontent, an online agency for music journalists, film makers etc. I am 38 and I live in Brighton UK.
