Sorry Eric I don't know, I'm gonna have to stick with Lackdog on this one. It's no Taxi Driver, but it definitely ranks as one of Scorsese's best films. Required watching for any film fan, with it's creative use of lighting, camera work, and plot. I've never had so much fun watching someone decend the firey staircase to the middle of hell.

Have you seen these? "Requiem for a Dream" Relentless! Anything by Won Kar-Wei (includes 3 on video): "Happy Together", "Fallen Angels" and "Chung-King Express" (I have rented it for this evening) and in cinemas now "In the Mood for Love". This guy is incredible! You can deal with the Cantonese and subtitles-it's worth it and there's never much dialogue-the film itself tells the story. Very modern. "The Way of the Gun" Fascinating western wrapped in a kidnapping thriller! (On video now!) I could go on...but won't. It's called Greasy Kid Stuff! and well, its funner than a barrel of monkees! and beatles, and beach boys, and..... well, maybe stereolabs is stretching it.... but anyway its basically a bunch of old punks with kids who listened to all the indie shit in the 80s but grew up with 60s and 70s pop music, and commercials, and cartoon shows. so, well, yr as likely to hear the Speed Racer theme or the Powerpuff Girls theme. and anything in between, or outside! the number 1 song on the show last year was "Signal In The Sky" by Apples In Stereo, so, y'know, yr in for a treat here.
