But good move by Nintendo, because while those discs are being viewed by PS2 and XBOX consoles, the owners will be drooling over the GAMECUBE and those upcoming games, wishing they had a Cube if they don't have one. I think it is generally a good thing. As seeing more print ads and more TV spots doesn't add much value. These CubeClubs in many ways helps shape Nintendo's image to something it is tring to get to. And my marketing text tells me sets up like these, where the product is promoted more subtley (games in a clube atmosphere with booze) is often better than hitting people over the head with a product. It was extremely successful for marketers who went to raves and set up booths giving people free samples or trials of their products. the hype book looks to be aimed at the hard-core, a Nintendo way of saying thank you, as I am pretty sure only their biggest fans will seek it out. But I'm sure there will be enough to go around. Actually, If it doesn't come up here, the hype book and DVD, might I ask you to get a set for me? :) Dexter [ To quit the NGamers mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe ] [ NGamers" (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Oct 2002 22:37:46 -0500 From: "Mr. Completely" Subject: Re: [NG] Nintendo Hype Book Coming to America - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dexter S." However, wouldn't the bad thing about it be the size of the audience (the few thousand or so per city who visit or hear of the "club").
