Sim games give you that authentic feeling of doing things realistically that you may never do in real life. The odds of you getting to drive in a Lambourghini going 200 mph is very slim. Even if you are in Germany, you still cannot go that fast because although there is not a speed limit, you will get a ticket for going so fast that you are a reckless driver. My favorite type of sim games are flight simulators. These games tend to hang towards PC's however, but it is just a blast to be able to work the control panel and to be able to fly the plane like you would in real life. In Rainbow Six, you are simulating a special forces team. The action is very realistic; you can get shot by friendly fire, and one shot can kill, and when you die, you don't come back. Arcade games, IMO does not compare with sim games as well as they can. Arcade games are great for times when you feel like crashing into things, and playing with your friends in a party type game. But when you can get that majestic feel of doing something thats almost the real thing, and getting caught up in the game, then you know its a great sim. Some gamers may like the explosive action with theirs, but for me, I'll stick to sim games anytime. ~Cy In a message dated 1/20/2000 5:18:19 PM Eastern Standard Time, johng@engberganderson.com writes: << I wish I could understand the appeal of these "sim" type racing games. Possible, but not likely. Nintendo would have to go through a lot of changes, mainly on their stance on what can and can't be in the game. I think Square likes it with Sony and their open policy on games. You Spoony Bard. > 3. The lucrative Pokemon license on dolphin would make a Pokemon Adventure > game, in full 3D. That should be happening on the N64, we all know that it is capable of beautiful 3-D games. > 4. Dolphin to include a cable modem I think it should have the option for a cable modem from the get go, but broadband isn't mainstream yet. If the Dreamcast can get by with a 33.6K Modem (that's what they use in Japan) for games like Virtual On and SEGA Rally 2 I think it will do fine with its 56K modem, for the time being. But I think it should leave the options open like Sony is doing with the PlayStation 2. Sure I'd love to get a cable modem for my Dreamcast, what with Chu Chu Rocket coming out in March, since I can only get a 26.4K connection through standard phone lines, but when it all comes down to the line, I'd rather have my consoles connect through DSL.
