Del Monte 3) I really don't go to Videogames.com too much any more, maybe like twice a month, I guess IGN has got me hook, line, and sinker and I'm not Galvatron enough to fight back. But FF8 as best game of the year? That's funny, makes my computer want to fart. I'd say best console game of 1999 would have to be Tony Hawk's Pro Skater with Soul Calibur as close second. Driving game I'd pick Need For Speed: High Stakes over R4 or GT2. GT2 is great and R4 is bland but neither of them have what brings me back to Need For Speed: High Stakes, the Hot Pursuit mode. If Gran Turismo 2000 need anything it's a hot pursuit mode. It deserves it. But anyway, best N64 game of 1999? Resident Evil 2. Best Dreamcast? Soul Calibur. Best PSX? THPS. Best Saturn? Street Fighter Zero 3. Best Game Boy? SMB DX.
