If you've been on the newsgroup and read what Randy from Digital Sports has said, then you've been mislead. This game is easily the best racing/sim/sports game on the n64, and simply one of the best console games ever. The depth of gameplay and options is amazing, you can race an entire race weekend ( Fri Practice, Sat Practice, Qualifying, Warmup, Race) against all the drivers and all the teams. Your car is completely adjustable you can set it up just like the real thing. I find that it is a ton of fun just fooling around with the set up until you can win the pole. There is a challenge mode which puts you in real situations from the 97 season. There is an exhibition mode and time trial mode as well. You will be playing this game for a long time, I'm on rookie and it's very challenging. It will take you like 3 hours per race if you do all the practice, qualifying, and full race distance. Of course you can put the race length down to 4 laps if you don't have much time. Now on to gameplay and graphics. This is the best looking race game ever ( all systems) The tracks and cars look real. The best thing about the graphics is that the frame rate is excellent, you really feel the speed and exceleration plus it is super smooth, unlike most racers it stays silky smooth even when racing with several other cars. There are a ton of other neat things the graphics show, like when you spin your tires too much you leave rubber on the track and it stays there lap after lap, when you go off the track you pick up dirt on the tires and it wears away as you drive on the track. Also when you are using one of the incar views the screen shakes when you hit bumps in the track or the curbs, this really adds to the realism of this game. I could go on and on about graphics, but in short they are amazing, must be seen to believe. Now for the most important part, gameplay. This game does not let down here either, it controls perfectly. You may not agree the minute you pop this game in because there is a steep learning curve and you must set up your car right if you hope to get the pole. This game is a must for all sim racing and F-1 fans, but if you do not fall into this category don't dismiss this title. I believe all serious gamers would enjoy it because of the high quality and the challenge. This game will keep you playing until they release another one. Turok is on the player's choice and not Acclaim. Yet, the 59 dollars for Warzone seems pretty cheap. I havn't played World Cup 98. My next purchase would probably be Warzone. I love watching wrestling and playing the games. I don't like to wrestle myself because of my size.
