I know what you mean it and the one with the train going up the centre are abominable but I found a secret on this level that really helps. when using the crane to transfer the bombs over to the containers get two bombs on at once and drop them over the middle( closer to the opposite side of the bridge) and you can blow all the containers up at once and that gives you plenty of time on the other side. Garrett I got all gold finally but never bothered with the platinum as that is incredibly hard. In the instructions (pg 21) the menu screen they show has all of the adult Link items (hammer, bow, etc..), but it also has the slingshot and deku sticks selectable...which means that that picture is from a young Link menu screen. I have not tried to go back yet, but I think it can be done.
