The Hunk mission, also known as "The Fourth Survivor", is about Hunk's mission to bring a G-Virus sample back to Umbrella. Hunk is one of the gas mask wearing soldiers seen in Annett Berkin's tale of how Umbrella sought to seal William Berkin's research, and started the events that led up to the story of Resident Evil 2. As Hunk you must get from the sewers to the police station roof. You face ever known monster, except the bosses, from RE2 and there's a lot of them. You only have two anti poison healing herbs, a loaded pistol with 150 extra shots, a loaded Magnum with 8 (I think) extra shots, and a loaded shotgun with 15 extra shots. To top it off you can't get any more ammo or herbs than what you begin with and you can't save. The Tofu mission, "The To- fu Survivor", is the same as the Hunk mission but you play as a human sized block of tofu armed with only a knife. The control was really sloppy. When I first heard about Stunt Race FX I was totally psyched, "Finally", I thought, "there's going to be a good 3-D racing game for the Super Nintendo!" Boy was I letdown. The sloppy control was bad enough, but putting faces on the cars (headlights for eyes & such) was the deathblow. The only good games that used the Super FX (and Super FX2) chip, IMHO, were Star Fox FX, Super Mario Land 2 : Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario RPG. The only other Super FX games I've played were Vortex FX and Stunt Race FX. Yoshi's Island & Super Mario RPG are considered Super FX games because they both do have the Super FX2 chip inside of them, although not used for making 3-D polygon worlds or anything, the chips were used for their raw power that boosted the SNES' clock speed from 3.58 MHz to 21 MHz. The control was sluggish but it was possible to get used to it. It was also kinda slow. Those things were due to hardware limitations more than bad design. Putting eyes on the car was not all that bad an idea. Sega's Virtual Racing which was all flat-shaded polygons was very sterile in comparison. Vortex also had sluggish controls and speed. It had some cool music though... and I think the cart was only 2megabit. alexh@ivanhoe.starway.net.au [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 Mar 1999 08:11:28 EST From: MrTwoson@aol.com Subject: [N64] NES Game Show hello there all you fellow listers (or is it listees) i'm here because i'm totally stuck, Does anyone remember that game show was entirely devoted to NES, it was a quiz show, and whoever won got to run through this obsticle course wearing a velcro suit and picking up NES games. Turn in the direction you want to go, and then press the airbrake on the side that the turn is (i.e. if you are turning left, use the left brake). The host was indeed black. Well, I stopped watching Nickelodeon after they cancelled Danger Mouse, and will not ever watch Nick again until they bring back Danger Mouse. With the small amount of people on the PSXGamer@webservice.com list and the amount of people on this list who have a PlayStation I figured it couldn't hurt. But if Vi or Greg don't care for my post I'll not post again with this kind of subject matter... Trey) . . . . Finally I have gotten to Disc 2 on Xenogears, 51 hours of playing since I've started. But now I find myself stuck on the first real battle of the second disc. Maybe you know, it's Sulfa Mass. How the heck do I beat this thing. Deathblows & Combos just heal it. And when I finally weaken him, see slumped shoulders and bad posture, he just eats his little buddies and then proceeds to kill the members of my party. I only have about 15 Zetasols but he heals himself more than I can hurt him. I've tried everything I can think of. Ether & Chi attacks either do 1 point of damage or continue to heal him. I tried using my Aquasols on him (it worked on other enemies) but they just healed the SOB. Right now I'm using Fei, Citan, and Elly.. but I'm open to suggestion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
