One day I was at a friend's home and had the opportunity to catch the orb on mtv. The video was "Perpetual Dawn" and it was hilarious! The thing that stumped me was that I swear I heard vocals, at least a chorus, in the video. Now all the versions of "Perpetual Dawn" that I have do not have vocals Can somebody clear this up for me? 2) What's up with the Orb Audio Archive and how do I get access to it? thanks in advance peace lyles # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orb" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orb@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Jun 1999 00:08:34 -0400 From: Jason Bilsky Subject: Re: (orb) the orbs little album mullbug@aol.com wrote: > Hi all, > A question directed at no in particular. It's just whether or not it'll be possible to get in late or not. Is anyone else going and taking a mobile with them? If so, let me know your number and we'll try and establish what's going on. I tried finding The Butterfly Rooms from directory enquiries but the nearest thing is the Butterfly Restaurant and they've never heard of it . I spoke to Andy R. about it and he reminded me of the New Years Eve event when Bill & Jimmy were reported as 'going to be there' which was also someplace in Brixton. OFF double CD and the U.F.OFF video you'll get the video for the track (and of course others) and the CD has the track with the vocals that you mention. Both are still available but you may find the Double CD is getting harder to find. If you're lucky, you'll find the Video with the free Blue Room 40 minute CD attached as well. NOT Well as suspected it turned out to be a scam, not a problem for me as it only took me 15 minutes to get there, but I hope no-one travelled too far. I arrived there at about 1.15am and there were loads of people wandering around trying to find the place. 184 Brixton Road was an empty house, at least there was certainly no-one in. On searching on Yahoo for the Butterfly rooms, the nearest I could find were the Butterfly Studios which were on the BIG LIFE website, suspicious hey (especially as the address was 184, Brixton Road)! Did anyone else go? I'll try and find out from the paper where the info came from. So it would seem will a lot of other people who seemed rather pissed off.
