My friend got the Season One DVD set for Christmas, so we were watching the pilot episode and reveling in old-school X-Files goodness, when, towards the end of the episode, I heard the lines from Prague Radio, on Not For Threes: "I'm afraid they're coming back... don't be afraid" (Billy). It was cool. I never knew where that came from, as it's also very distorted. Good to know that X-Files has been an influence on people like Plaid. Jason Newsted was cool and it's a shame that he's jacked but to be brutally honest Metallica disappeared up there arses 10 years ago and did all the things they said they would never do. I've never heard Reload or Garage Days (the second one) and all that other stuff but Master of Puppets still stands as one of the finest rock albums ever written. I've listened to S&M and apart from The Good, the bad and the ugly intro the rest goes together like oil and water. But, I challenge any 'sensible' music fan to listen to Master.. and not either totally love it or totally respect what they were doing. Tootled I heard on a real audio file of Paul Hartnoll doing a dj set. Surprisingly the cheap real audio I heard sounded more 'hard' than the live version from London. But they both sound great. I really like that song a lot! Oh yeah thank you very much for these boots they sound GREAT!! I'm used to really poor sounding bootlegs (taped from the audience). I first heard Tension from Napster.. The live version seems to be longer than the version I got from Napster. I'd have to say I liked the Napster version (doesn't sound live) for this one but it's essentially the same track. Maybe it's because I heard the Napster version so much I memorized where pieces come in and drop off and it's different on the live version. It's pretty chaotic and different I can't wait to hear the CD version. There is also another track floating around on Napster called Last Thing. I'm not sure if this is confirmed to be Orbital but it sure sounds like it. I think it's the best song of the bunch and sounds more like what we've grown to love. I am real excited about the new album I'm sure it will be AMAZING. The three tracks I've heard so far sound great to me!
