Both the Cascade and Lifeforms singles are like the less random (ie the best) bits of the album (such as the Cascade and Lifeforms tracks on there, surprisingly). I'll be the first to admit, Pablo Honey is a horrible CD, but Radiohead hit the nail on the head with The Bends and everything since then. OK Computer is my #1 favorite CD of all time, because it transcends rock 'n roll; the CD (especially the first 6 tracks) is art. I also can't say enough about Pulp. They make the most emotionally charged music I've ever heard, and Different Class is a very close second to OK Computer. Of course, I'm much more into Brit-rock than electronic music (both of which are foreign here in southeast US), so I guess I'm a little biased to rock. I just wrote because some people were badmouthing Radiohead on account of Thom Yorke's voice (which is understandable, it's unique). At a party that I was at, the DJ spun Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd into Born Slippy. Now that's what I call a bizarre yet amazing mix. It's had some mixed reviews, but I really like it. It does get quite pretentious along the way, but with James Lavelle sticking more than his nose in what do you expect? The track with the "Whining Git" is good, and the track with Whining Git Mark II (Richard Ashcroft) is outstanding. I've loved The Verve from way back and this is great, although it's going to do nothing for Richie's reputation as a real party killer. Anyway... Overall, it does whiff strongly of a coffee table centre piece, but if you actually listen to the tracks you will find an interesting album.
