It was brilliant when they dropped Dr. Who in - the place went mental!! Spare parts express seemed to have the same effect. I was looking out for you all night Steve from the description you posted of yourself, but It was so busy, I had no chance. I thought Plaid were genuinely excellent. Really good innovative techno which reminded me of early Aphex Twin in a way. Also a shock to see Paul with no hair again! Every press shot I have seen coming up to the single and tour he has sported a mane of curly locks and then leapt onto the stage last night bald again - didn't recognise him. I'm still going to do it, and if they come to cleveland (172 miles) or indianapolis (284 miles), then I'll probably go to those too. I'm sick of reading this crap. Bring it to private mail or don't bring it at all. Here's the deal. We're all big fans. Steve can go to 6 shows, so he is/did. If I could go to six Orbital shows, I probably would too. As it is, I'll be lucky to get to two. The same for the other guy (Jason? I forget.) Let's face it, if you don't live in a big city in the US, there is no music scene. And I mean the really big cities... NYC, SoCal, Detroit, and that's about it. One on each coast and one in the middle. Those are the only cities you can *count* on seeing a group every time they tour. The other places are just one time deals, where an organizer got lucky. The latest stuff's on Warp, which I suppose gives you about as good a chance as you get in techno. Let me know if you wanna know more - I wouldn't want to clutter up the list with off-topic stuff now we've actually got some on-topic to talk about!
