I have bought everything I have ever found, which isn't much, about 4 singles and album. No one can seem to tell me any info on them, but I have found a few things. They did release a new single a couple years ago, called OHIO. It was supposedly released as a single, but I have seen or heard of it anywhere. However, I do have a mix of the song OHIO on the Platinum on Black Vol 2 CD. Pretty good song. Also, supposedly, they had made a new CD a few years back, and it was supposed to be released as a 2CD set. But the record company pulled it and made it a 1CD. Then, that got pulled as well. Who knows. Other than that, they are dead as far as I know. But I love them and would love to find out something! The HMV by my house should have it tomorrow or next week and I want to get it, but, if it has the stupid cardboard cases that scratch up your cds because they are barely big enough, then I would prefer to wait until the plastic cases come out. With In Sides, I bought the cd before it was released as a double disk and ended up rebuying it. I want to get the right one this time, even if it means waiting. Dear All, I'll start by saying how utterly brilliant 'The Middle of Nowhere' is. = I bought it on vinyl yesterday and it is truly way out there on its own. = Any justice - it'll be UK No. 1 this Sunday... Not so sure about the sleeve artwork though, not at all what I was = expecting. Like the 'tracks on the spine thing', kind of. It all seems = a bit bland - so different to the 'In Sides' artwork. I always buy = everything (where possible) on vinyl, firstly cos I love the 'big discs = and proper turntables' thing, but also cos of the bigger artwork you get = on the sleeves - but this, a release I've been waiting for for months, = seems a slight let down, but the music really makes up for it :) Moving on - if any of you aren't quite with it at the moment, please = stop reading now, cos this gets complicated... Right, a couple of weeks ago I bought (or so I thought) one of the 'Lush = 3' UK 12"s in a well known indie shop in London (I didn't have either = part beforehand, so didn't mind which part it was). So, I get it home, give it a listen, start looking at the tracks on the = sleeve and think, that's the Underworld remix version then ('Lush 3-3'), = but the sleeve says it's not on this single, this is the '3-4' and 3-5' = version. So, I look at the catalogue numbers: the disc is LIARX7, or 857237-1, if = you prefer ('3-1' to '3-3'). Printed on the back of the sleeve is = LIAXR7, or 857239.1. So, they are different then?=20 Well, on the front of the sleeve is a little sticker with the = tracklisting for LIARX7 ('3-1' to '3-3'). =20 So, yesterday, I took it back and explained all to a bunch of people who = were still at school when this was released, so had no idea that there = even was two 12"s for the release. Anyway, it ends up with them (about = ten people) telling me that this is the right sleeve for the disc, cos = of the sticker on the front, and basically refusing to give me a refund, = or even look for another *correct* disc, even though the actual printing = *on* the sleeve is for 'Lush 3-4' and '3-5' - they say it's a misprint. = I say bollocks is it. So, has anyone else got either of these 12" singles and if so, can they = tell me what the catalogue numbers are that are printed on the disc, on = the sleeve and on any stickers that may be included, for each part, = please? =20 I'm going to take it back again sometime soonish, either to change it = for the *proper* disc/sleeve or get a refund and try and pick it up = elsewhere. Before you all say look at the discography at the bottom of this page, I = have, and it doesn't include the international catalogue numbers (the = 857... ones) or mention stickers with different track listings. I've = also checked the Loopz discog, and that doesn't mention any track order = differences or stickers on sleeves either. And there's actually a mistake there, so, Steve Loopz, if you're = reading... you've got the first 'Lush 3' 12" down with the same = international cat. no. as the CD (with a '2' at the end, where ther = should be a '1').=20 So, basically, if any of YOU know why there's a LIARX7 sticker on my = LIAXR7 sleeve with a LIARX7 disc, perhaps you could let me know, cos I'm = completely stumped on this. =20 I want to go back to the shop with a clear head so I know what I'm = saying is right. If the single did come out with a Part 1 sticker on a = Part 2 sleeve with a Part 1 disc, then fine, just as long as I = know...and I'll stop hassling the shop.
