The only orbital bootleg I've ever seen was a tape of their Glastonbury performance in '94 (I think) and I foolishly never bought it. I would really like to get hold of copies of any of the concerts I was at:- Chelmsford V96 Tribal Gathering 97 Brixton Academy 27th March 1999 The V96 concert was one of the most intense gig experiences of my life, probably enhanced by an E (one of the very few times I've taken one) but I don't think you need it for an Orbital live gig. I have the Satan CD singles with some tracks from V96. I often go running listening to these on my walkman and when I get a runners high to this music it feels like I'm back in that Chelmsford field on a warm summers evening raving my nuts off. Their live performances seem to be really suped up and hard versions of the albums. Can anyone help me out? I'll pay any price (well maybe not 'any'). I have CD recording capabilities and don't mind running off lots of copies for people on this list (how many are there here?). I just need that important inital master tape/CD! # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orbital" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orbital@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # Orbital discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?orbital ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 May 1999 11:06:28 GMT From: "Andy Jackson" Subject: (orbital) Devil Gate Drive The spoken intro to Suzi Quatro's 'Devil Gate Drive' goes like this; DEVIL GATE DRIVE (Chapman-Chinn) {Spoken}"Hey, you all want to go down to Devil Gate Drive? I got mine from www.imvs.com. Total cost with shipping was 23.50 and that included the charge for conversion. So far I think the album rocks. I cought news of tour dates but was sad to see that according to this information they will not stop in DC. Considering all the other shows I went to in dc and the fact that there is a show ever saterday night featuring the dubbed "electronica" that they would chose to skip this city. The three-week, 18-city tour, which goes by the name Community Service, kicks off July 4 in Chicago and ends July 24 in Long Beach, Calif. Each show will have at least six hours of non-stop music. Scott Kirkland of the Crystal Method tells allstar that he and partner Ken Jordan plan to use their time on the tour as inspiration to finish their second record, which they hope to get out by the year's end. "We haven't really found a niche [in the studio] yet," says Kirkland. "So we thought it would be fun just to go out and play 45 minutes, and try some new things out... and just get out of the studio."
