It's a terrific tune, despite being "pop"... I really like Gray's dynamic lyrical delivery of what could be mundane lyrics. The melody is good stuff, too... mellow, but interesting. Does anyone have or has anyone heard the entire album? How is it? Am I rambling? Is there a simple way to just split the mp3 in half or something without getting Soundforge or something like that? The mp3 is Oakenfold's Essential Mix live from Shanghai :-) Most of the mixes (Homelands, Buenos Aires, Havana, Ibiza, etc) have already been split for me, but for some reason this one hasn't. I appreciate any help. I'd use Cool Edit - it's very functional without having to register (though it's even handier if you do...). It won't work direct on an mp3 though, you'll have to convert to wav first (but I'd be doing that anyway if I was going to burn it). cheers, Jon - - "Please hand the bird book back to the library by Tuesday, or you'll have to pay an extra Deutschmark." # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orbital" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orbital@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # Orbital discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?orbital ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Dec 1999 18:54:12 +0000 From: deekay@mail.dfu.de Subject: (orbital) OT: Cylob... I just found the track 'rewind' by Cylob on my HD, a track that i've seen the video from in quite a 'dazzled' state, and i've found it to be a really awesome track, to my knowledge the first track that has computer-generated rhtymical lyrics all the way through!.. Simply can't get the refrain out of my head, so i wonder if anyone actually has the lyrics for that track? 8) I only understand a few words every now and then, but i could swear he sings something like "Aphex" in the refrain (the word at the end!) which wouldn't surprise me since Cylob is on Rephlex, Richard's very own recordlabel! 8) It's good to see them finally go their own way, i mean everytime i checked out other Rephlex artists they more or less sounded pretty much like an Aphex-ripoff!..
