If anyone in Seattle wants to go to the LA show next week, I have a plane ticket I won't be using. Wednesday night I booked the flight, and yesterday I was told I'd be in San Deigo for work all next week. So I'll be able to go, but I don't need the ticket. And since I suspect there are others in Seattle who want to go to the show, I'll give it to the first person who will pay the ticket change fee ($50, if I'm not mistaken). It's a pretty good deal since I paid $175 for the ticket. Here are the specifics: Thursday, Oct 25 Seattle (SEA) TO Los Angeles (LAX) Flight: Northwest Airlines 4404 (Operated by: ALASKA AIRLINES - -- AS404) Departure: Oct 25 1:15 PM PDT (SEA) Arrival: Oct 25 3:55 PM PDT (LAX) Class: Economy Friday, Oct 26 Los Angeles (LAX) TO Seattle (SEA) Flight: Northwest Airlines 4501 (Operated by: ALASKA AIRLINES - -- AS501) Departure: Oct 26 12:15 PM PDT (LAX) Arrival: Oct 26 2:51 PM PDT (SEA) Class: Economy Gives you enough time to see the show, sleep it off, and get back to Seattle in time for the weekend. Last show on the tour! Who knows when they'll be back. You can respond at this address. Thanks, James - -- James D. Id wnat to hear style and halcyon but unfortunately they werent on the playlist. 2 hours of pure and live "good" music was too much for me, and when the bros left the stage, i tried to get to backstage to try to chat with them but the guards didnt let me. and headed home with the echoing sounds in my ears... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? (opened with tension, closed with impact, dr who-> chime.) ahh, the encore. impact, as expected, blew my mind. phil tweaked the hell out of that beat-up 303 and it was beautiful. you could tell that with this track as well as chime, countless live playings have turned them into these huge epic performances, with quite a bit of improv going on. they talked to each other a bit from time to time - i'd love to know what they were saying. ("should we bring such-and-such noise back in?" "you forgot to drop the spoken segment after the last build!" who knows...) yeah, so it was amazing. i was less excited about dr. who, but as it morphed into chime it quickly became a real stomper. they interchanged parts at will, more insane 303 twiddling, multiple builds and releases, etc. it was absurd. i loved it. yeah, so big surprise: orbital is a great live act. go see 'em. although if you plan on standing right at the front you might think of bringing earplugs. 17 hours later my ears are still ringing a bit... cheers, nub # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orbital" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orbital@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # Orbital discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?orbital ------------------------------ End of orbital-digest V2 #450 *****************************
