Suzanne, Thanx for the great update. I was wondering, you mentioned that Wally sang a song that he sang to Adrienne when he was on Days. Do you recall if that song was "Give me Wings" (says something of, a bird in a cage will forget how to sing, if you love me...give me wings? I have that on tape if that's the song! Does any one else have PC/GH related dreams? I've had several weird ones. I thought I'd bring up the subject 'cos my mind has been stuck on the crazy dream I had last night. Thought I'd share it... In the dream, I was going about my boring life up here in Michigan and I somehow got my hands on a copy of General Homocide-- I was ecstatic. I only managed to read a little of it when I realized it wasn't your generic copy. It had notes written all over it, with some paragraphs highlighted (think of Victor's copy). Way weird, I was thinking. I'll skip of the irrelevent part of the dream that involved going to my neice's gymnastics show- although I had the book with me and was thinking of bragging to everyone on RATSA & the lists that I had *real* copy. Anyhoo, the next thing I knew, I was at Kevin and Lucy's lighthouse, and K & L and Victor were hounding me about giving the book back, but I refused. Kevin was *real* angry (he is so darn handsome when he's mad!!) and Lucy was babbling on and on about something regarding Eve. I think I ended up keeping the book, cos then my dream skipped to me back home and I was reading the part about Lucy's death. I was soooo dissappointed when I woke up and realized I really DIDN'T have a copy of the book. *sniff* ABC should market "General Homocide". After all, "Robin's Diary" was a success, and this would probably be even more exciting-- especially with the right promotion. Well, if anyone actually read this, congrats- you get 5 big brownie points. =^) Dreamin' of a fantasy K&L wedding (and fearing what is REALLY going to happen...), ~Laura~ - - ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Jul 1998 23:51:48 -0700 From: Taiyin Subject: GH/PC: Ultimate Links Page Apologies to those of you on both lists who are getting this twice. Cross-posting is a no-no, but list moms are occasionally afforded certain privledges. So don't try this at home. ;-) This is an FYI and a general request for assistance: Due to demands of work and school, I am totally unable to continue keeping up with the demands of running the Ultimate Links Page on my own (and as many people can attest, I have been for some time. Mea culpa.). So, I have finally come to the conclusion that I have two alternatives: either close the page or get some help. Now, I don't want to close the site. And, judging by the weekly traffic, that would probably not be most people's first choice. So, what I'm doing right now is asking for some people who are familiar with HTML coding, and who have the time and inclination to do the work, to volunteer to give me a hand keeping the site updated on a weekly basis. Because the site is on my domain, I will be the only person doing the physical uploading. What I need every week for volunteers to send me a revised list of links for each page. I need people who can constantly check current links to make sure they are still active and to keep their eyes open for new links and web rings to be added to the collection. In order to do this I will need a minimum of 5 volunteers, though I would prefer at least a dozen. Duties will be broken down accordingly: "General" GH/PC Sites "Family" sites (Scorpio, Quartermaine, Spencer, Cassadine, Scanlon, Baldwin, Collins, etc. This category not only contains sites about the whole family, but about each member of the families as well.) GH Couples PC Couples Fanfiction Sites Medical Professionals Men Women Humor Misc. (any site that doesn't fall into any of the above categories) Generic Soap Links (not sites devoted to other shows, but just general soap opera links) Some of these categories are ones that I have not added to the site yet ("Humor" and "Women" for example), but they are ones that I have wanted to add for quite some time. I am not necessarily looking for one person to handle each of these categories (though, considering how big a job this can be, it would be my first choice). But I need these bases covered by someone reliable. And, frankly, I would like to divide up some of these categories (especially "Families" and "Couples") even more specifically. I am sent anywhere from 20-50 emails per week informing me of new links that someone wants added to the page. I just cannot keep up alone. I need help verifying that the URL is correct, and checking out the page to make sure it is not only there, but that it belongs in whichever category. I can be as helpful as possible in making this process as smoothe as possible, I just can't do it all myself anymore. If you are interested in helping me keep the Ultimate Links Page up and running, please email me at taiyin@taiyin.net and tell me which category you would like to be responsible for, and we can work out specifics then. If I can't find enough assistants to help me effectively and efficiently manage the Ultimate Links Page, I will close the site down on Labor Day Weekend. The site is located at http://www.taiyin.net/links/ in case anyone wants to check it out and hasn't seen it before. And if you are interested, please be sure to contact me OFF LIST. Thanks! Hi, Laura. Yes, ALL THE TIME! I have very vivid dreams that I seem to remember more than most people I know, and I watch a lot of TV so I often dream about the shows. Since I watch so many soaps, I dream a lot about them. Especially GH. I was GOING to say I had never had a PC dream, but I did dream about Lucy and Kevin just last night! I had forgotten until just now. Often when I dream about GH, I'm either a cast member or a character. Those are the fun ones. We won't talk about the romantic ones...;) well, usually they involve Sonny, but I've also had them about Stefan, Robert Scorpio, Frisco...I can't think of who else. I'm glad I'm not the only one! Your dreams sounds kind of fun, directly related to the show current shows and everything. ******************************************************************** Suzanne slanoue@delphi.com surf.to/suzanne or surf.to/gh/ Want to receive jokes, soap scoops or scifi-TV info? (it was really only five minutes, when you consider the show ends at five of.) anyway, to recap: the first scene back was back in jason's penthouse. jason told alan to leave because he was scaring michael. alan tried persuasion, and pleading, and a bit of pushing and shoving, but jason finally told alan he was taking michael upstairs and he'd better be gone by the time he got back. as soon as jason left, alan started rummaging through drawers, containers, etc., looking for pills, i presume. he found the stash of cash jason keeps in that metal drink shaker thing, and took it, and found a gun in a drawer, which he also took. back to the wedding...mac continues (to paraphrase), "you're my best friend felicia, and i love you, and i know i should have told you this before but i was afraid you'd turn me down..." felicia, "i love you too, mac." mac: "is that a yes?" felicia: "yes, yes, yes..." they kiss, the = congregation stands up and cheers, kevin and lucy just look at each other like "what the heck?" and they kiss too. end of show. not nearly as much as i THOUGHT we'd miss (i was apoplectic when peter jennings broke in-- even though i know this (unusually for abc) actually = WAS a newsworthy event, they had no real details for over an hour and a half, but they stayed on the air anyway, just filling up time with nothing. but oh well...) anyway, i do have the complete ep on tape, since i taped = the end of the west coast version, but unless you're a = diehard mac and felicia fan (ARE there any?) it's not worth worrying over--you didn't miss much. the real fireworks will be on monday. hope that helps! julie - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 02:14:51 -0600 From: Subject: Re: GH/PC: People In Other Time Zones, Please Fill Us In!! It sounds like the Monday will be the most important-- I know ABC does a review and I looked at that, but they tend to leave the moments that count out, you know what I mean-- any stuff w/ Liz and Lucky or Jason? Thank you! Rebecca - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 12:17:33 -0400 From: "Julie E. Thank you! = wow...and i thought east coast usually suffered the worst. seems we got off BEST this time. we only lost the last five minutes--west coast (or at least the seattle channel we get on satellite) lost the first 15 or so, and you poor middle-of-the-country folks missed EVERYTHING? oh well...i'll do my best. (i havent' read the abc update, so forgive me if i'm being redundant) lucky met liz at ruby's as she was on her way home to get ready = for the wedding. she was dreading going because she was = sure to run into garcia and taggert and didn't want them "staring at her and saying, 'oh there's the poor little girl that was raped.'" lucky offered to go with her, and she gratefully accepted. robin was going to go alone, out of deference to mac's feelings about jason, but she also passed by ruby's and ran into nikolas (conveniently dressed up from a meeting with his lawyer). they started talking about kat, and robin invited him to join her at the wedding. mac gave her a little attitude when they showed up ("you brought a CASSADINE?") but robin told nik to ignore him. after robin left jason's, alan showed up, to ask jason if he could get him some drugs for his "pain." he explained that the family thought he was addicted and had confiscated them, and that in jason's line of work he probably had stuff just lying around. jason adamantly affirmed that he has nothing to do with drugs and never would, and told him he was a junkie and to get out. alan fought back, pushed and shoved jason a bit, jason took michael out of the room and told alan to leave, and alan stole some cash and a gun from jason (as described in last post). justus (the new justus, who i don't like so far. not only is he a new actor, from friday's ep he seems an awful lot like a whole new character) had another discussion with jason about using jerry's situation to their advantage, and jason still refused because he didnt' want brenda hurt. then justus met with jerry, and offered to work with him, discreetly. (i don't buy it--i thought the character of justus had a lot more loyalty than that...) jax and v continued to push mac and felicia to say how they felt to each other (by the way--i thought mac and jax HATED = each other? when did they get so chummy???), but mac and flea remained stubbornly defiant, even though flea was constantly tearing up. maxie and georgie showed up in the brides room to give her their blue hair ribbons, to tie on her bouquet for "something blue," and she nearly lost it. she nearly lost it again when bobbie and lucas visited her, and bobbie went off on her "you two were = meant to be together" speech again. v kept pushing her, and flea kept telling her to stop. lucy tried to stop her from crying, but then had "a premonition" of a bride running out of the = church in tears. she was very shaken by it, but v pointed out that people cry at weddings, and flea said if it would make her feel any better she'd cry on purpose for lucy. tony showed up, much to many people's dismay. mac confronted him, but it turns out felicia invited him and she let him stay. he = promised not to make any trouble, but he later noticed bobbie and jerry getting friendly and gave them an evil look. meanwhile, our brides are still having trouble. lucy realized at the last minute that she didn't have anything borrowed, so she forced flea to trade shoes with her (mac and kevin, who were looking anxiously = at the back of the church, just saw shoes flying across the doorway). kevin, meanwhile, was still pressing mac to find out what was wrong, but he wasn't talking. then scott and serena showed up, and lucy got all teary at serena's blindness and sad expression. she said she needed a minute to compose herself, and forced flea, despite their earlier plans, to head down the aisle first. (lucy then got her dress stuck in the door and required help from two guys, which held her up a bit, causing her sprint down the aisle that we kept seeing in the wedding commercials) when everyone was at the front of the church, felicia asked mac if he was ready, as this was the moment they had agreed upon for him to announce their change of heart. instead, he just said, "felicia...marry me." (right then was when = the east coast cut to news coverage, so you can understand how annoying THAT was!) then came the part i described in my last post, with mac saying he loved her and that she was his best friend, and he was scared to say it before, and flea saying she = loved him too, and the kiss. end of ep. the scenes from the next port charles had joe asking karen what eve was up to, serena asking scott "when are they going to say 'i do'?", and the minister asking if anyone could show just cause why lucy and kevin should not be married...camera pan to eve. that's all i can remember! if anyone thinks of anything i left out, feel free to correct me! julie - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jul 1998 12:23:59 -0600 From: Subject: Re: GH/PC: People In Other Time Zones, Please Fill Us In!! (i havent' read the abc > update, so forgive me if i'm being redundant) I don't know if everyone else missed everything (doesn't the local affil. also decide when to cut away? I am not sure how that works) but I tape the show because I am at work and all I got yesterday was coverage-- which I already knew about from coming home and watching the news-- very sad news-- I couldn't complain about the cut away, but I wish they had had more of a reason to stay on that long in live coverage (e.g. KNOWN something concrete) but oh well-- Thank you so much Julie for this fabulous recap-- real people reviews always beat the pants off "official" recaps-- the official ones tend to leave out emotions :). I am curious now to see the new Justus--if he is going begind Jason's back, I am very dissapointed as well.... Did anyone else see Mac on an episode of Clueless last week? I think he was a teacher-- I have no idea what role he played in a plot (if any) as I was just surfing and saw him-- is he a regular on that show? Thanks again Julie!!
