So how many different flavors of nervous are there??? While I have no reason > to think he was lying, it was also the sort of remark that people make when > they are joking, so who knows? He did seem to be joking somewhat, so I seriously doubt that it was exactly March 6th, 1795, but he didn't really have much motivation to lie. At the time, he was trying to convince Duncan that he could take care of himself when Kalas showed up. I tend to assume that he's telling the truth in this for the purposes of my fanfic and other speculation. But then again, I'm assuming he had a good enough idea of what Duncan and Joe's relationship was like to expect Duncan to tell Joe about him. Since he's have no control over what Duncan said, the easiest way to lie to Joe would be to lie to Duncan. And he might have had motivation to lie to Joe if he wanted to use the fact that he was out of the Game at the moment as a supporting argument when trying to convince Joe not to turn him in. The first conversation between Joe and Adam after "Methos" is one of those scenes that they never show us that I'd really like to see. If he did use not being actively involved in the Game as one of the reasons Joe shouldn't throw him out, that could have a major influence on Joe's reaction if he found out about Methos killing Kristen. If he did find out, I want to see that scene too and if he didn't, I want to know that. While we're on the subject, can any of you who have seen "Timeless" already tell me whether or not they mention who does or doesn't know that Methos killed Kristen and what the status of Joe's friendships with Duncan and Adam seem to be? > This could easily be true. It > would be hard to keep up with all the 'rules' about aproaching the opposite > sex. It's hard enough in reality, but imagine having to keep up with 5000 > years of changes! Especially since it is 5000 years of changes all over the world. It varies between countries as well as between centuries, even if that may be becoming somewhat less true modernly with the increased contact between cultures making them gradually more homonigized. Whatever the case, I'm really > looking forward to seeing this!! I haven't seen "Timeless" yet either. Before I started hearing about it, I was doing some speculation on the subject of Methos having love affairs. As a Watcher he'd have trouble maintaining a relationship with another Immortal, since he'd have to constantly worry about the Watchers catching him with her or her finding out about the Watchers. If he was having a relationship with another Watcher, he'd have to worry about her finding his sword and journals and it would be extremely difficult to have them hidden but still accessible when needed if he was living with her. If they were truly in love with each other, he could tell her who he really was, and she'd probably understand and not turn him in. But in the long term that could cause complications, since she probably wouldn't be nearly as understanding when he told her that he had to fake his death and change identities before the Watchers noticed that he wasn't aging. For that matter, any relationship with a mortal could temp him into overstaying his welcome with the Watchers. Since being a Watcher and being an Immortal are the two most important aspects of who he is, I have trouble seeing how he could relate to a person who wasn't either, especially if he didn't tell her. How could it be true love if he's hiding that much of himself? And whether or not he told her, he'd still have the long term complications I mentioned above. To be honest, I still can't understand how he can fall for Alexis, who as far as I know is not a Watcher and I get the impression doesn't know what Adam is. Maybe it will make more sense once I've seen the episode. You're listening to Elton John's "Grow Some Funk of Your Own" and when he says "Oh, he was so macho" you think...Elton isn't pronouncing it right. 2. Candygram. Once this word instilled palpitations because of the contents...now you can only think of the delivery man..... 3. You've become inordinately interested in all things Welsh. 4. You roam the aisles of video stores, passing up the Mel Gibson rack and muttering, "Why don't they have any bloody Dickens?" 5. You wonder why everyone you meet isn't using terms like Wingfieldian and Peterphenalia...They come up so often in every day conversation :) Lisa Completely grown up and mature fan of PW who is not the least bit giggly over him and who thinks that he is tremendously talented and has limitless potential ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: beagle4u@lava.net (Heidi S. Any way, I've been watching my tape of Methos Ep again ( no really i am doing research for my story ). I noticed something. Peter played Adam/Methos differently in Chivelry than he did in the other 3 eps. He was harder w/ more of an edge. I realize that the story line warrented a slight change but the change i'm talking about was an over all difference. Heidi beagle4u@lava.net Your dog loves you when no one else does.
