The purpose of this FAQ is to inform people what they can do about Media generated lies and misinformation. While the FCC only handles Broadcast Media, (TV and Radio), some of these techniques will work for magazines and newspapers too. If I've missed something, or you find errors, let me know and I'll add/fix it. 1.a. Send letters of complaint to the Station Manager every time it happens with all the time, details, other info, and your complaint(s). 1.b. Send an additional copy for their FCC (Federal Communications Commission) Public file. 1.c. Send an additional copy to the FCC itself, in case they don't put it in their Public file. 2.a. Send a letter of complaint to their Station Owner as per above, with copies as per above (1.b and 1.c). 3. Send copies of their replies to you along with yours to them to their FCC Public file, so that it gets nice and fat, again, with copies to the FCC itself. 4. If you can afford it, send all corespondence by Certified Mail with Return Receipt Requested. Send a copy of the Return Receipt with everything that goes to the FCC itself, so that they will have additional evidence if the Station is cheating on their Public File. 5.a. Go to the Public Library and look up "Standard Rate and Data Services" (SRDS) "Directory of National Advertisers." It is found in many major Libraries (in the business/reference stacks), and lists EVERY current advertiser, who the players are at both the company and advertising agency(s), and the appropriate telephone and fax (and probably E-Mail by now) addresses. If your Library doesn't have it, it can be requested. Otherwise you can watch their commercials for a few days to a week, listing all their advertisers. There are other references that have the addresses for the nation's business headquarters too. look them all up and pass the addresses and phone/FAX numbers etc., around so that everyone can bitch to the sponsors. IF enough people do that, it'll get back to the Station. Tell them if the Station continues their nastiness you'll _consider_ changing to brand(X), (otherwise they'll just write you off as a loss). 5.b. The above, (5.a.), can be a lot easier and less time consuming if you're dealing with a newspaper's or a magazine's ads, as they are right in front of you for the listing. 6. If they put on something good or even just more reasonable, call and compliment them on it, but do _not_ send any kudos to their FCC file, or write to them about it. That way they have to keep it up and hope, as there is nothing good in the file or in writing that they can show the FCC to justify their Station's License. 7. The American Colonies did it in the 1700's and their wealth soon rivaled England and brought restrictions from Parliament, which led to the Revolutionary War. Abraham Lincoln did it in 1863 to help finance the Civil War. An agent of the Rothschild Bank later assassinated him. No debt-free or usury-free money has been issued in America since then. Several Arab nations issue interest-free loans to their citizens today. The Saracen Empire forbade usury on money for 1,000 years, and its wealth outshone even Saxon Europe. Mandarin China issued its own money, interest-free and debt-free, and the European traveler, Marco Polo, was astounded by the wealth and the civilization of the Mandarin Empire. Germany issued debt-free and usury-free money from 1935, accounting for its startling rise from the depression to a world power in 5 years. Germany financed its entire government and war operation from 1935 to 1945 without gold and without debt, and it took the whole Capitalist and Communist world to destroy the German power over Europe and bring Europe back under the heel of the bankers. Such history of money does not even appear in the textbooks of public (government controlled) schools today. By the issuance of paper money and credit in the above manner, the nation's total money supply can be increased to meet the nation's needs with no disadvantage to anyone and with advantage to all. All will benefit from the increased ease of exchanging goods and services with more money available. THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE MONEY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE TAXED OR TAKEN OUT OF CIRCULATION TO PAY BACK THE PARASITIC BANKERS. As stated before, it would remain in circulation for generations at no cost to the American people, except for printing replacements for paper currency as it wears out. He was sentenced last August to probation for felony embezzlement. So now he is charged with "felon in possession of a firearm" because the buyer of a pistol which Walker sold more than four years before his conviction failed to register the pistol. Have they lost their minds? No, the powers that be simply want to take from everyone the right to keep and bear arms. If they violate constitutionally protected rights of the people now, what do you suppose they might do if they succeeded in disarming the people? Gun registration historically always leads to gun confiscation. Gun registration is unconstitutional because it infringes on the right of the people to keep and bear arms, a right protected by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. During his arraignment Tuesday in Warren's 37th District Court, Walker, 49, was charged with involuntary manslaughter. He is accused of failing to legally transfer ownership of his 9mm semiautomatic. He was also arraigned on two weapons charges. Judge Walter Jakubowski read the counts that accused Walker of "unlawfully killing Wouters ...by failing to fully divest himself of the weapon." Under the law, when a gun is transferred, be it sold, loaned or given away, the new owner must register the weapon in his or her name. The former owner must make sure that is done. Walker apparently didn't when he sold the gun five years ago, but that hardly rises to the level of manslaughter, his family said. Walker, a restaurant cook from Capac in Michigan's Thumb, was held in lieu of posting a $250,000 cash bond. When he wasn't standing before Jakubowski, he buried his face in his handcuffed hands. There's no proof that Walker knew or met Ljeka Juncaj, the 29-year-old drug suspect who killed Wouters, but he nonetheless is culpable, said Eric Kaiser, chief trial attorney for the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office. It's also unlikely that Walker sold the gun to Juncaj, Kaiser said. But somehow, the chrome-plated gun landed in the hands of Juncaj, who smuggled it, in his pants, into the Warren police booking room after his Oct. 11 arrest. After killing Wouters, a 19-year veteran and 42-year-old father of three, Juncaj fatally shot himself in the head while struggling with another officer. "It's not relevant if he knew him. He put the weapon into the stream of use, so he is responsible," Kaiser said. "If I have a stick of dynamite in a paper bag and I hand it to you, it might be eight people later before something happens. But it doesn't matter, the damage has been done." Walker's sister, Kay Fitch of Capac said police and prosecutors are desperate for someone to blame. An internal investigation by Warren police revealed their officers forgot to search Juncaj. "He sold the gun to a man in Capac. He trusted he would do the right thing," Fitch said. In addition to one count of involuntary manslaughter, prosecutors brought an alternative charge: felon in possession of a firearm. Because Walker was sentenced to probation in August for felony embezzlement from his employer, he should not have owned a gun. With the alternative charge, a jury -- if the case should make it to trial -- will have the option of convicting Walker of involuntary manslaughter, a 15-year felony, or of felon in possession, a 5-year felony. If they convict him of both charges , the judge is expected to sentence him based on the more serious crime. Walker is also facing a felony firearms charge, which carries a mandatory 2-year penalty, upon conviction. He has requested a court-appointed attorney. His preliminary examination is set for Dec. 7. Macomb County Prosecutor Carl Marlinga said earlier that he wanted to bring charges to send a message to gun owners that they will be held responsible if their weapons are used to commit crimes. "Owning a gun is an awesome responsibility and with it comes the duty to transfer ownership," Kaiser said. Fitch said her brother, the son of the late Lewis Walker, Capac's police chief for 17 years, would agree. But he could not force the buyer to complete the paperwork. "We feel for the police officer's family," she said. "But Terry would not sell to someone like this drug dealer. Someone else did." Put another way, if it is not valuable to have the use of 40,000 now before you can save it then why would you not wait and save it? Governments don't (and -never- have) issue free money. They sometimes make "interest free" loans when they know that the value of the money will increase at a rate greater then they could get by charging interest (in other times, this'd be called "inflating the currency"). Your use of the fascist German government, in a time where the entire force of the world was focused on distorting the German economy, strikes me as somewhat odd. Did war production play no part in the expansion of their economy? (IMO it did and we're not going to let anybody bomb our Rhine valley into dust to grow the US economy). Individuals from that time in Germany would tell you a somewhat less glorious tale of the rise of Nazi power, the onset of an inflation that killed people and the beginning of our worlds most tumultuous and violent time. I'm open to convincing that you have some amazing unique new innovative version of economics but I'm hoping you can be more convincing then this. Effective immediately, all teachers are expected to follow these rules when scoring standardized student tests: 1) Initially, all standardized tests will be scored by computer scanning equipment to provide a "rough estimate" of the student's score 2) to ensure fairness and accuracy, only those students who failed the test will be subject to hand scoring 3) each failing student will hand score his or her own test, assisted by two other failing students 4) this group of three failing students will establish their own rules and standards for scoring 5) when scoring an individual item, the three failing students must address the question "how did the student intend to answer the question?" If the student did indeed intend to answer the question incorrectly, then it is counted wrong. However, if the student did not intend to answer it incorrectly, then it is scored "correct." One way to determine intent involves looking at how the student answered other items on the test. If, for instance, a student answered other items correctly, clearly he or she did not intend to answer subsequent questions incorrectly. In such cases, the incorrectly answered item is scored as correct 6) Failing students are permitted to re-score their tests as many times as necessary until a passing score is achieved. The important point that must be emphasized in these new rules is this: The student's intent is paramount. It is not what they did, but what they intended to do that counts. Further, only a group of failing students can possibly discern the intent of other failing students. Students who passed the test have no additional recourse, unless they are children of US Military personnel, in which case, their test scores are not counted and they will receive an automatic "zero". Failing students are encouraged to add additional rules and guidelines to this list as they pop into their heads. Yet according to Mr. Jenkins, those familiar with Mr. Gore report "his Fido-like persistence arises from his belief that he really 'won' the state. ... He apparently believes that when a small fraction of unmotivated, uninformed voters fail to follow the instructions of the Democratic operatives who drag them to the polls, it's tantamount to robbing him of a prize he's duly earned." Jenkins concluded his column by pointing out that, should Gore persist in such tactics, "It would become clear, both to history and his own voters, that he was the wrong man all along. Support is already falling away fast for the candidate who is showing himself willing to belabor our most important institution merely to finagle his way to the prize he craves." This is not merely about Al Gore -- though I'll admit there's something about a man who would pose as a fiscal "moderate" to win election from conservative Tennessee, a spoiled son of Washington privilege and wealthy tobacco heir who would turn cigarette prohibitionist and even use his own sister's tobacco-related death for political gain, a beneficiary of a huge trust in Occidental Oil stock who sidles up to the public-employee collectivists and proves willing to publicly embrace the most bizarre Luddite and Marxist environmental quackery, a man who will even modify his dress, speech and deportment in response to the way he's portrayed each weekend on "Saturday Night Live," that doesn't inspire my deepest trust. Nor is this about George W. Bush, another child of wealth and privilege who will blithely take the oath of office -- as has every American ruler at least since Calvin Coolidge -- without pausing a moment to contemplate that he fully intends to violate the very principles of limited government which he is swearing before God to protect and defend, preferably within the next hour and certainly a thousand times before the month's out. I harbor no delusions that George W. Bush will be a great president. I didn't vote for him. I don't even have a hankering for a great president. (Why does "greatness" always involve sending other mothers' sons to die in unpronounceable places?) I'd be much happier with a man who takes long naps in the afternoon and does little or nothing but host pleasant dinners for visiting ambassadors except on those rare occasions when the safety of our freedoms is truly at stake. The notion that George W. Bush will prove a closet libertarian, working with a Republican Congress to repeal thousands upon thousands of unconstitutional post-1912 enactments and hosing out the thousand bureaucratic ant farms erected along the shores of the Potomac (starting with the IRS, the DEA, the FBI, and the BATF), is a chimera. It will be business as usual for the Imperial Bureaucracy no matter which of these front men is finally allowed to sleep in the Big Bed. But between the two men there does emerge one increasingly apparent difference of character. George W. Bush has made it clear on a number of occasions that his future happiness does not rest on achieving this office - -- if defeated, he has a nice ranch and gratifying gig in Texas and would probably have a more enjoyable next eight years, all things considered. Al Gore, on the other hand, is a man driven by ambition. It is increasingly apparent he will do almost literally anything to succeed. Imagine for a moment you could choose one of these two men to take the oath of office on the sad flight back from Dallas in late November of 1963. Within a few months, which would be more likely to start pouring endlessly more men and materiel into the doomed and divisive rathole of Vietnam, vowing -- as our larger-than-life villain, Lyndon Johnson, actually did vow - -- "Dammit, I'm not gonna have them say I was the first American president under which this country lost a war!"? Then again, maybe Al Gore would just be seeking a court ruling that he'd won the Vietnam War. The way we choose our presidents is deeply flawed. The parties used to nominate senior statesmen of unquestioned stature, their positions on the issues of the day well established, who then "stood" for election. With the exception of a few major addresses -- lengthy speeches of substance; after 100 years we still recall William Jennings Bryan and his "Cross of Gold" -- their "campaigns" generally took the form of politely receiving reporters for interviews on the porch of the family home. Given the choice that confronted us this fall, can anyone seriously suggest the massive union and corporate bribe-funded potlatch and baby-kissing contest which we now know as the "presidential primary season" is providing us with better leaders than the old "smoke-filled room"? What's most poisonous about today's process is that merely to become a finalist in the presidential sweepstakes, the press and pundits now demand a fellow have such a "fire in the belly" to control the lives of millions that he would be -- in any other walk of life -- judged certifiably megalomaniac and insane. I believe Al Gore qualifies. And through I don't yet have much else good to say about him, I sense that George W. Bush does not. By some miracle, the process designed by the founders did manage to spare us President Aaron Burr. It now appears to have done its work again. Somehow, it appears it will also spare us The Emperor Al. I was in the courtroom Friday and saw clearly the importance of this argument and the fact that such a critical constitutional issue hangs in the balance. As Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice - an international public interest law firm that specializes in constitutional law - I was delighted to see that the legal arguments we presented earlier this week in our friend-of-the-court brief played a key role in the exchange between the Justices and the attorneys for both sides. Having appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court on nine separate occasions - I know how tough oral arguments can be. Attorneys for both sides did well - the Justices peppered both parties with aggressive questions - a clear sign that the Court is fully engaged in this issue. This was a historic hearing that will play a pivotal role in the outcome of the Presidential election - a monumental moment for the country and the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court will clearly have a dramatic impact on the outcome of this presidential election - it will play a critical role in both the legal outcome and perhaps, as importantly, how the issue is decided in the court of public opinion. Earlier this week, the ACLJ filed a friend-of-the-court brief in the case with the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of 63 Florida voters challenging the actions of the Florida Supreme Court - and urging the Court to overturn the decision of the Florida Supreme Court to extend the certification deadline in the presidential contest. Our brief stated that the law and the Constitution are very clear: the Florida Supreme Court usurped the authority of the Florida legislature by re-writing Florida election law. It is my hope that the Supreme Court reaches that conclusion. The ACLJ has been involved in the Florida election controversy since the beginning filing friend-of-the-court briefs in Palm Beach County challenging lawsuits demanding a re-vote there. The Florida Supreme Court has been asked to enter the case after a circuit court judge ruled that there are no legal grounds for a re-vote in Palm Beach County. The response to our petition drive has been nothing short of remarkable. We have heard from more than 160,000 people since Election Day who want to see a constitutional resolution to this election and supported the Florida Secretary of State's decision to certify the presidential election - without an extension of the deadline. The ACLJ is notifying both presidential campaigns - Texas Governor George W. Bush and Vice President Al Gore - of the public response. The ACLJ is also reporting the public response to the leadership of the U.S. Congress and of the Florida legislature. If you have signed the petition, thank you. If you have not, we need to hear from you today. We want to add as many names as possible as the Presidential election controversy winds through the legal and political system.
