I'm going to have to use this pattern to make some of these little boxes...they would be perfect size to hold a chocolate kiss!! From Rachel Innes: A wonderful magnet! She used the Fish/Sun design and triple-quadruple-quintuple embossed it to get a nice thick shiny result. Usually when I try this, mine cracks... but this one is solid!! I love the background too! Looks like she just took her petal point and pressed the whole thing down, so it looks like a starburst of colors! From RubberJoker: what else but the Joker cat!!! Cute!! I love the connection here! He's done on white cardstock that has been brayered with purples and pinks and mounted on black cardstock. The inside says "Magic Happens When You Stamp" Ain't that the truth!! From Jaimee Givens: She used the "I kiss my dog on the lips" square stamp by PB, and this cute pug face is raised in the center of the card. OOOhhhh Jaime, I see you've used the white leather cardstock! Mine is coming soon, can't wait to get it!! From Dee Volle: A gorgeous little book. Gosh, I wish I could describe this one better... but its a little quare accordeon book. The cover has a patterned mulberry paper and PB's fish is done in what looks to be friendly plastic.. in a turquoise irredescent color. Very nice!!! From Sue Houston: Sue has used PB's square holly frame. She placed it on the upper 1/3 of the card, colored it in and cut out the center. Through the opening, the work "joy" is stamped. This is so simple, yet so elegant!! What a great idea! Great swap!! Since I could cut after heating/stamping, didn't see that this would make a difference. I heated (over foil covered board) with heat gun at least 25 seconds on top, then same on bottom, then same on top again. Edges curled a little as I've read--no biggie. Hurried to press inked image into the hot foam and when I released, I had stamped foam. Period. Inked image on foam, no dimension, no impression. I tried with marvy matchables dye ink, imprintz pigment ink, and colorbox pigment ink. I wasn't trying for leather look or anything (it was a valentine) but I pressed pretty hard. What a report! Even though I was there, I missed alot of the cool stuff you reported on! Kaye Lynne, you are no longer a newbie reporter! I think you ought to go to all the conventions and report for those of us at home! It was so great to meet so many of my online friends! I recieved these yesterday and the postmark was Jan. 30. I'm so glad they got here, but thought maybe they were lost as they were sent about 3 weeks ago. Weird! Anyway, loved all the cards...and the candy cane and your note, thanks bunches! Susan Benedict, my old SSS :) On white CS she has poinsettas and pine needles corner stamps, pinecones and pine needles borders and in the middle a matching wreath with cardinal and Merry Christmas in watercolors. All layered on green cardstock. Very pretty! Erna Jensen made a Cow card and it says Merry Christmas, I mean Mooey Christamas! Very cute, card! Used striped background paper and raffia bow and layering. Kristen Watts made a card using Hero's Wordprints and a Santa surrounded by Teddies. The inside says "good friends put the merry in Christmas. Tied with a gold trim braid. Ruth the TVlady, this is my favorite! layers of gold wrapping paper, spray glitter over a Christmas tree and a gold star cut out and put on with foam tape all layered onto light spruce colored CS. The inside says "My Wish is old and rather quaint, But really most sincere. A very Merry Christmas and a joyous bright New Year" Unknown Green CS layered onto gold CS and white on the inside. An angel embossed in gold with pretty wings and a horn ans silver stars all around. The inside says "Heartfelt Wishes on Angel wings for the joys that Christmas brings" Thanks everyone and to Kim for hostessing.. It was my first convention and I had a blast! I was the one working in the Evolving Images booth, BTW. Ellen and Dale are the nicest people! =) Thanks, Ellen, for letting me hang out with ya'll. I met a bunch of nice people, including Kaye Lynne Ingold (Sing-n-stamp) Kay Mills (Ye old cardmaker), Sara (Stamperson), Lupe (Elizabeth) Herman , Shannon Green, Marsha Braymen, and a ton of other folks. It was great to put faces with names and cards! The other thing is that we decided I needed a stamping nickname. So, let the suggestions fly! No, Debbie Miller, I won't be the "Skinny Stamper". Thanks, anyway. Besides, Shannon Green has me beat on that one!! LOL!
