If you are already on the list as of the December mailing, do not send in a form unless your information has changed. If I sent you the list, even though you were not on the December one, that means that I have your information, it is just waiting to be added for the next edition. I am hoping to get a new one out sometime in March. NEW PEOPLE READ HERE ============================================== This was a list that was started almost a 2 years ago and has been through three owners. The idea was started as people needed addresses for swaps or just wanted to do something nice once in awhile for a list member without having to actually ask them for an address. The agreement was made that if you did not provide your personal information you could not have access to others, it was deemed only fair. There are currently approximately 750 people participating, some are subscribed to the list all the time, and some show up here and there periodically. If this is something you think you would like to be on, please fill out the form below and make sure that you read the disclaimer that follows so that the rules are clearly understood. If you do not receive a reply immediately do not worry, I have probably received it. With ~750 people on the list it is a very high maintenance project, and I will try to send you a current list as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you. ======================================== Name: Company Name: NickName: Street: City: State: Zip: Country: Home Phone (optional): Work Phone (optional): Birthday: email1: email2: WebPage: Stamping Likes (This is in a database, please limit to 250 characters): You can only receive the list if you are on the list. I just opened up my January/February package... wow! This is so cool! I love surprises! Lets see, thanks for the big heart stamp and the two little ones... how did you know I wanted a stamp for the back of my cards? The one with the bear saying a little something is just perfect! The papers are great! I love glossy papers but I don't like the thick glossy card stock for layering. This paper is great! What kind of paper is that blue vellum looking type? I've never seen it before and it looks cool. It looks kind of like tracing paper with clouds in the background... OK, so I suck at descriptions but I hope you can figure out what I am talking about so you can tell me what kind of paper it is! Great paper samples- I've not seen many of the colors and textures.... what is this?? Wow! That red paper is sooooo soft! Ok, tell me what this one is! That isn't mulberry paper is it? It has little flecks of something in it and feels positively dreamy! Envelopes- great, can always use them! OHHHHHH- that angel paper is gorgeous! Maybe I could use those to try some collage cards??? Now if only I knew how to do collages! And the wallpaper is wonderful! I can't find wallpaper samples in my area so this is just too cool. I love the plaid wallpaper, that is going to make a knockout background! Templates... is that what they are called? Now I can make my own envelopes! Yipee! Doilies (Argh! Don't know how to spell them!) those are just awesome! All right! An all night media template! I was looking at those the other day and was making a choice between this one and the one with balloons and grass... I chose the balloon one and now I am so glad I did! I was wishing for more money so that I could get this one, now I can wish for something else... wait, I guess I will continue wishing for money-LOL!!! I've never heard of Encore ink before... I love learning about new products! This is one of my favorite colors to stamp with, too... scarlet. With the scarlet ink, the heart stamp and the doily I should be able to make some beautiful Valentine cards! Great! Here is a gold paint pen! How did you know mine was running out?? I needed one bad- its one of my favorite things to use with my stamps! Lets see, what else???? Spiced cider... yummy! no caffeine even so I can drink it without worrying about my headaches! Potpourri... I've got the perfect jar to put that in! And a candle too- gee, I feel positively spoiled! Green ribbon- HA! I knew it- you are psychic! I've been posting that I want St Patricks stamps and now I will have green ribbon to use with the cards! I just posted the request so I KNOW you couldn't have seen it before sending the box! I get it, its just that great minds think alike... right??!!! Ooopps... ready for one dumb question? Is that glitter or embossing powder? I told you it was dumb! Really, how pathetic am I that I can't figure out the difference right?? Oh well, have pity on me! Its glitter... right?? Thanks secret pal, I appreciate all the work you put into the package and I hope that everyone is all healthy now. I hope I remembered to thank you for everything. I am very happy with it all! He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!" He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life. "Yeah, right, it's not that easy,"I protested. "Yes it is," Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life." I reflected on what Jerry said. Soon thereafter, I left the restaurant industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it. Several years later, I heard that Jerry did something you are never supposed to do in a restaurant business: he left the back door open one morning and was held up at gunpoint by three armed robbers. While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local trauma center. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body. I was with Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door", Jerry replied. "Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or I could choose to die. I chose to live. "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I was looking at the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action." "What did you do?" I asked. "Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes' I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Bullets!' Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead." Jerry lived thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything. You have two choices now: 1. Delete this. 2. Forward it to the people you care about. - --part0_886656619_boundary-- This message was from KrZ4Stamps@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I made 3 sheets and an envelope of a dusky tan with small black threads running thru it. Now I want to make a snow white paper with multicolored tissue paper snips in it, but seeing as how I'm coughing today, I had best stay out of the water and the cold basement. drat! He has a little Salvation Army collection pot on the counter, and as soon as you pay, he sticks the money in there. Pat, I am so sad for you. And I am having a flashback from a similar trauma. When I was a little girl I had a pregnant cat I adored, Thomasina. This was in the good old days when you could actually have baby animals without being politically incorrect. She was allowed out for her daily stroll and she disappeared. I found her dead body and freaked out. The adolescent twim boys who killed her bragged and I soon found out they had hung her from the water tower before tossing her in the park across from my home. They didn't know or care who she belonged to. I put an article in the paper about it.I was only 8 yrs. old and it was all a rude awakening. One of those murderous twins was mildly MR and I knew that was no excuse. A couple yrs. later he was locally applauded for winning a Special Olympics award and I was nauseated by it. Neither of them grew up to be trustworthy adults. I have been doing adolescent psych nursing the last 7 yrs and I can tell you it is not a good symptom when anyone abuses animals. I am very sad for you. And I wish you some justice. People must be responsible for their actions. No wonder that 30+ yrs later I hardly let my kids or my animals out of my sight. I think I can manage this within USA standard mailing. Those elsewhere should feel free to "make an offer". This will be identical to the paper I used in the Crazy Valentine Swap.
