Hallelujah! No, not "guilty" ; that is a criminal finding. The criminal finding had to be beyond a reasonable doubt. In the civil case it is "liable" : the proponderance(sp) of the evidence (most of the evidence) shows that the defendant is responsible. Because he was aquitted ("reasonable doubt" by the jurors) He can never be tried again for the crime of murdering Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, but he can (and was) found responsible civily. ------------------------------ From: baglady@wolfenet.com Date: Wed, 5 Feb 1997 10:49:15 +0000 Subject: denami catolog siteings!!! This little get together of mine is really shaping up nicely! I am putting out a general announcement to see if anyone else is interested in dropping by my house on Sunday, Feb. 9th for a Stamping Marathon. The festivities start at 10:00 am and go until 9:00 p.m. I will be making lunch, so I will need to know who will be eating. Dinner will be a chip in - buy pizza deal for all who are staying. If you want to bring snackies or beverages that is encouraged - I just ask that no diet drinks be brought into my house. (Nothing with Nutrasweet, If you want to know why I will show you some literature on this poisionous stuff) Bring a swap project you want to work on, or just play with my stuff. I will have all kinds of papers, powders, etc available. You can try out the Stamp n Stick (though I don't have any for sale), marvel over my new card catalog, see why the Kai scissors are so great, get questions asked and answered, and generally have a good time. I have a Magenta catalog and am collecting orders at 10% off retail, Rise Reading's catalog at 10% off retail (mounted AND unmounted), and a Stamping Up! catalog (I am hosting a catalog party-thinigie - I don't sell it so I can advertise this. :->) A bunch of people have RSVP'd so far, and while it is ok to drop by for just a couple of hours, please let me know you are coming, especially if you are staying for lunch - so I can make enough food. If anyone has questions, email me here or at home: Liblaauw@earthlink.net See ya! ------------------------------ From: Mark and Shey Date: Wed, 05 Feb 1997 10:46:55 -0800 Subject: TESTING Hello can you see me? ------------------------------ From: Cathy36901@aol.com Date: Wed, 5 Feb 1997 13:52:01 -0500 (EST) Subject: Newbies and not newbies Hi, I just want to share this with you. Loretta and I went to visit my friend yesterday, (who I refer to as my angel friend), Rosemarie G. Rose has been stamping for over two years. She showed us her stampin' area which is so very organized. As a newbie, we were so inspired and excited. She taught us how to make a water card (...it turned out very nice). What I am trying to say is if you are a pro at stampin' take a newbie under your wings and guild them. Rubberstamping is a wonderful art and all it takes is the time and willingness of a special person to inspire and start you off on a new hobbie or off in a new direction. Thanks Rosemarie G. and thanks to all the special people on the net who are so helpful to us newbies!!!! Stampin'@Midnite (cathy s.) (especially by Sunday and Monday). Everything seemed really funny, her storage bins falling over with the luggage rack attached, getting lost, etc. Well, I guess you would just have had to see it for yourself. Suffice it to say we had a great time. What a group. I loved getting to meet everybody and would also love to have copies of any pictures of listees that are available. Just email me with costs. Thanks especially to Donna Joy for arranging the La Casa dinner and StamperKat for directing me over the phone and rides, paper, etc. Without those directions, I'd probably still be wandering around Grapevine. I can't wait to see the Neutress' pins next year, but I just can't figure out how we're going to be able to wear them with the chainsaws attached (this year they only had knives). Also, contray to popular belief, I only spent an hour and a half in the RBBB Pit, but boy did I do some damage to my finances. Also got great ums from 100 Proof Press and American Art Stamps (?). Last night, I started mounting stamps and of course, I don't have enough cushion. That's probably a good thing because this morning, my right hand was numb from cutting rubber. That's in spite of the great Kai scissors. What we won't do for our assiction.
