So here are the guidelines: This will be for exotic papers only! No mulberry cause it's very easy to come by and common. No printed cardstock/paper like the type you would use for scrapbooking. Size to send in: about 1/4 sheet of paper size. 1/4 of 8.5 x 11 - I'll let you do the math! LOL Send in as many as you want and I sure would appreciate an extra piece for me?? :-) Oh, please let me know how many you are sending in. I don't want you to send in way too many if there aren't enough players. Here are some examples of what to send, not restricted to these of course cause I certainly don't know all the different papers out there! LOL Papyrus, french marble, metallic marble, mango, other fibers (except mulberry), banana, abaca, embossed, bark, Marbled Momi, unryu, snake textured, other unusual textures, petal paper, paste paper, hollagraphic sticker paper, etc, etc, etc. I think you get the idea. Lots of do's and don'ts, huh? Well, Sorry about all that, but I agree with others who have emailed me and I'm sure if these guidelines are followed, everyone will just love their return packages!!! Postage: Same postage you sent me PLUS one .23 cent stamp!!! Thank you. The .23 will take care of it when the papers sent to you are heavier than the ones you sent. Due date: How about March 1st? Is that enough time to stuff envy's with exotic papers? I can extend it if need be, but I don't imagine this would take anyone very long. Let me know if you are interested!!! I have received some really cool books here!! Don't miss out! I don't want to see lots of drop outs as it comes near due date - I know how we all are (including ME!!!) LOL There has been a change in shipping costs. About 3 people have emailed me about the cost of shipping small handmade books in previous swaps and let me know that is usually takes $3.00. If you send me $3.00, I'll ship it priority for you (and hopefully) you'll get it faster!!! Wow! Lots more players since I posted it's official! I can already tell we are going to have some great small handmade books!!!!! But....We always need more players! Please join us! Small books are easy to make, I did 6 of them in one night of stamping! They are fun and you can make all different kinds. Treasure books, Concertina books, etc. Details: 6 for 5, small (under 4 inches) handmade books. Bound however, decorated however, your choice whether to collage inside pages, # of pages should be at least 4 (I guess, LOL). Due Date: March 1st! Postage: Send $3.00 priority postage and a SAE. If yours costs more to send to me, please include additional postage. Although I can't imagine 6 little books ever costing over priority postage! Point your web browser at http://crafts.dm.net/ . - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 07 Feb 1998 15:36:11 -0900 From: Jim & Kari Subject: RS: **Mounted Stamp Swap** There is a ***New Notes section below to those of you who are already playing. New players, let me know if you want to join!!! More are welcome! I've been getting some really neat stamps in for this. It's amazing what one person doesn't like, someone else will! Mounted Stamp Swap I know that there are stamps in your stamp drawers that you never use or don't like, so here is a chance to get gently used stamps for just the price of postage!!! Due Date: Last day of February Details: x for x, however many you send is how many you get back. Don't send extra for me as I will be playing also. Send a list of likes/dislikes and I will do my best to match up, but no promises. I've hosted this swap before and it worked out great last time!! Although, some people do send in lots of "little" stamps and I did have to send one med-large stamp for 2 small ones. Or 2 or 3 foam mounted for one wood. Is that fair? ***New Notes: Foam Mounted not being included in this swap now! Sorry for being hard on this, just want to be fair to everyone! Most who responded said they would rather keep it wood only. Postage: I did have a problem last time with postage because some people sent in small stamps and I returned different sizes. I am going to do priority this time, sooo $3.00 priority for under 2 lbs. I would recommend keeping it under 2 lbs. But if you want to send more, I have no problem with that, just send more postage! LOL I know of that priority mailer that is $3.00 no matter what the weight is but the last time I hosted this swap, stamps didn't make it here too well in those. I would hate to loose stamps in the mail!!! Mail to: Kari Mattocks P.O. Box 35513 Juneau, AK 99803 Don't forget to include your list of likes/dislikes in your package to me. It's hard for me to keep track of them through emails!!! THANKS Email me if you have questions!
