Giggle's cookbook Well friends, The cookbook is typed (after many exciting adventures...LOLOL!) and has been sent off to Phil. He'll have it tomorrow and will get it printed, cut, bound and mailed. I'll be sending him the mailing labels tomorrow, so he'll have 'em Wednesday. I think it looks pretty good... I had to do lots of work on many pages. We seem to be a spacy group. Some pages were missing the amounts of ingredients, on some pages the bottom recipe began before the bottom half of the page did (I made xeroxes of these and did a cut and paste job), some recipes had no names on them so I couldn't give the cook credit. I did try to fix any errors I found. A few recipe pages had words missing, so when those missing words were a problem, I went in and re-typed them... Etc... Some of the errors were hilarious and these kept me giggling while I finished up the book. We do have more copies for sale... if you haven't ordered yours, you still can do so... Send me an email and I'll send you the addy.... Thanks so much Stacy!! Linda Israel sent a card white cs with a beautiful background done with a roller stamp--1" high curly letters with tiny hearts and flowers among them--all in pinks. A pink heart is off center to left and has deckle edges and a little stamp that says love notes in a darker pink ep. Little girl in pink with HEARTS on dress and shoes and cheeks is over this and to right and down. Inside is postoid RAK delivery post stamp with smiley face. Thanks Linda! My name is Christine Bounds and I live in Pflugerville, Texas, which is right next to Austin. We just moved into our first home in April of last year. We have lived here in Austin since 1990 with a nine-month detour in San Jose CA so that my DH could move a project back to Austin. I will be 28 in March and will celebrate my 10-year anniversary this May. I have two wonderful children, Amanda, who is 9 years old and her brother, Lee, who just turned 2 last month. I am a stay-at-home mom now but before that I was an office manager at a real estate company. I just got back on the RS list after being off for two months. I have been stamping since October of last year and am totally hooked. I can thank my wonderful friends who *made* me come and stamp with them for that. Besides stamping, I also scrapbook. I love flower gardening and might try my hand this spring at making a vegetable garden. That's about it...next? Probably because all my children are grown up and its much easier now. Plus I get to take all kinds of breaks! :) becky-bear Sure hope I didn't offend anyone by my statement. Wow what a great package. The return addy is Gabrielle Conway but the card says my valentine ss so I'm not sure if Gabrielle is my valentine ss or if she was the remailer but thanks for whatever part you had! :-) The package was all covered with pretty heart stickers and when I opened it there was a red painted box inside. I opened that and the first thing I spotted was a ball canning jar full of my favorite jelley belly bubblegum jelly beans!!!!! It has a beautiful piece of fabric on top and pretty burgundy ribbon. Now I know what you packed it so well. It arrived safely and I've been munching on them all evening! The box was also full of candy hearts and chocolates. Yum Yum, they're history! Then I got some heart confetti and an adorable bear figurine with hearts. You know what - I wanted to decorate for valentines day and realized I really don't have anything so this is great! My card is so pretty - several layers on top of red paper stamped with happy valentines day wishes, a pretty heart border and an angel holding a heart. I got a pretty little heart ring in a decorative box and a really neat little bag of beautiful victorian romance embellishments. Then there is a heart bag with a heart magnet - my first one for valentines day! and a very pretty cupid heart stamp which I plan to use tomorrow to make some cards for stamp club! I also got a very pretty little heart tack pin and STAMPS - lots of stamps! I got the love bakes set from stampin up!!!! Wow, what a nice surprise and they're are so many here!!!!! Then I got a very pretty valentine paper assotment - a burgundy bag to stamp, a pink bag to stamp, some red paper, some red checkered paper, and some pink/white heart tissue paper all tied up with a pretty burgundy bow and a pink marvy, which I did not have! Thanks you very very much - I really love everything! I talk about doing "my art" and people automatically assume oil paint or sculpture or whatever. Then I SHOW them my art, and tell them its rubberstamping and there is such disbelief. I have also been known to say that rubberstamping art uses artistic choices about already made images, instead of painting them. Every other artistic decision is still needing to be made by the rubber artist...color, design, placement, texture, emotion tonality, etc. And it includes so many aspects that "painters" don't worry about. Rubber art is amazingly complex and allows for such a huge variety of expression, media...I think that's why we buy so many goodies. Each new thing can add a new dimension to our work.
