Here's the web address to send an email to CBS about their coverage if you so desire. The "Email us" is at the bottom of the web page. http://cbs.sportsline.com/u/olympics/nagano98/ On the other side of things, if you have the chance to watch and/or video tape the coverage on TNT, I think you'll be delighted! I watched the full five hours today and enjoyed it very much. What a difference! Less commercials, more action, wider base of coverage rather than so ethnocentric (or only showing the anticipated medal winners) - overall thoroughly enjoyable. I also enjoyed their commentators and the interviews shown. Much more interesting than what I've seen in the prime time hours! TNT's website and the viewing schedule can be found at: http://tnt.turner.com/sports/winter98/ I couldn't find a place to email my comments. In one of our "conversations" she discovered that I didn't receive SS packages for November and December (was I whining, Kim? I hope not, but I probably was!). Well, this friend of hers has started a business selling gift baskets and travel kits--and I got a travel kit! She knows how I love to go adventuring (right Victoria? Maria? Hee Hee). So she sent me a package for my next trip! (Which will be a business trip to Philadelphia, I believe, in early March!) This lovely package contains so many goodies! Candies to suck on the plane, a comb, mini shampoo/conditioner, a toothbrush and toothpaste, aloe vera hand lotion, a razor and shaving cream, hot chocolate mix, iced tea mix, and lemonade mix, and peanuts--see why I said "WOW?" And all this was packaged in a lovely gift bag, with crinkly stuff (highly technical term) in the bottom, and tied with a gorgeous ribbon. Kim, you are too generous! I love it! And I think your friend has a great business! Can you post information about these packages to the list? I'm sure other people will be interested in them--they are really smashing! She sent chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Yummmy, I'm in chocolate heaven with hearts, Dove hearts (my fave), and hugs and kisses. She sent some great patterned paper; dog biscuits, music notes (so pretty), bandaids with owee and ouch, tools (great for Dad's day), kitty feet (I love these) and party balloons ( they even look rubberstamped!) I think Toni likes confetti as much as I do! She sent some Jetson's (these are great and Shaun loves them too!), some garden 'fetti with watering cans, flowers and trowels (how cute!) and big kittys with hearts and kitty prints (we both love them kittys!!!) She made the most gorgeous handmade envys with, you guessed it, kittys on them. There are 5 envys with different cats on each one all wrapped up with a red ribbon. I love handmade envys as long as I'm not the one making them. I think I'm envy challenged! These are going to be hoarded for awhile cause they're way too cute to let go! She completed the pkg. with a fabulous card. The background is conversation hearts with a cute girl holding a candy bar. The wrapper is even stamped. Where did you get that stamp? Thank you so much Toni for your thoughtfulness. I'm enjoying being your adopted mom (YAM)! It's been great because since then, we have become good friends! Well today I received the biggest RAK package from her. Everything was wrapped in the prettiest splash pattern tissue paper (which by the way I don't have to tear for collage cards cause my cat already did it for me ). The first thing opened was a nerf-like ball to use for backgrounds. My cat liked that too (I think she thinks she's a dog). Then there were some herty-gertys, I think they're called (the music thingys for cards). Cool, I've never used these! There was an alphabet "M" stamp with a moon on it (I love celestial stuff) and a "B" with bows on it. Three "Carousel" New York mini cheesecakes. Yum. Roz also knows how much I love carousels (My new company name is going to be Carousel of Paper!). I got a Kliban cat on a bicycle (neener, neener). He's soooo cute! A stamp "This book belongs to:" with 4 kittys on it. Mmmmmm, I'm sampling the Hersheys Tastations that are hanging out in the box! There is a bag of jelly hearts. Yummmmmy! By the way Roz, I loooooove recycled stuff! She sent Dean Koontz new book, Fear Nothing. I haven't read it yet. I've read almost all his other stuff and I love it! And last but not least "the other thingy". It's great. You did a fantastic job!! Sorry guys, I can't spill the beans! Thank you so much Roz. Wow! What a wonderful treat. We'll talk soon!! Part 2 Well, remember the part where DH said he could stamp some cards too. Well, tonight while I was reading my e-mail again, he came in and told me to close my eyes again, and hold our my hands again, and this time he placed a large round trivet with handles, that he had cut on his scroll saw. It had hearts interwoven all through it and on the handles too. And there was a valentine's card attached. He had used my victorian fiskars scissors and cut a large heart, then used a couple of my stamps, and one we had bought for him that says "From the Shop Of". What a sweetheart. And to top it all off, today we were at the Mall at Sears and they had this darling valentine's watch and he bought it for me. It's a large round face and has a dial that turns around the diameter as the seconds click off. On the dial are red 5 red hearts and "I Love You". I love it. And it's isn't even valentine's day yet!!! What should I get him? I had planned on getting his hunting and fishing licenses--not very romantic I admit, and some scratch-off lottery tickets. Anybody have any suggestions? Rubbearheart This message was from Rubearhart@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
