I bought some acrylic scraps (for pretty darn cheap) and had hubby cut me some blocks in various sizes. Then I either use red cushion, the unglued kind, I hate the pre stick kind, or fun foam on smaller stamps. Then I use Aleens or Plaid brand restick glue. I store the unmounted in large notebooks I get at Sams in packages of 3. I use page protectors with sheets of cardboard inside the page protectors to give it some strength. I get the cardboard anywhere I can like cereal boxes and the like. I slip a sheet of paper in the front pocket of the notebook and write exactly what's in that notebook. Not each stamp individually, but categories. I use rubber cement to stick the dies to the cushion. 'My' system is about as inexpensive as it gets (more $$ for rubber ). Readily available supples, no waiting for mail order. It works for me. A grade school teacher became ill, with the flu and died. It was right before the holidays, so the school closed up early and started vaccinating people. My husband thinks it was meningitis (sp?). It turned out it was only something she had in her body, apparently triggered by the illness. Not contageous. We will keep you in our thoughts and say a prayer.
