HP DeskJet 600 Does anyone have this kind of a printer? I've had mine for about a year and a half, and everything was fine until a month or so ago. When I print off e-mail messages, they're fine. However, when I print anything I've done in Word Perfect, it's a mess ... looks like there's a streak of ink through each printed line. I called the store where I bought it, and they want me to bring it in for a "check-up" ... (sure ... at $75/hour - they'd love to check it). I don't think it's a printer problem because it doesn't do this when I print list messages. If it's an adjustment or a setting thing ... does anyone know what I'd adjust or set? I'm not using a color cartridge .. just a B&W one, and yes, it is the "real" HP cartridge, not a clone and not a refilled one. And yes, I've done the cleaning thing. Ant Judy H. You can use sticker paper to cover the top of the box and list which tiny dies are inside. I am converting all my tiny stamps over to HALOS and those small boxes are perfect. YOu could have only Christmas in one box and other holidays in others. Or only small animals in one and You could even store a small block of wood with the HALOS loop on it in the box, so all you need is in the one box. A color cube would fit as well. In fact, you could make one up to hold a small die cube, some dies and the wood block, then carry it in your purse or on vacation to embellish those boring postcards everyone buys. Bill Gates dies in a car accident. He finds himself being sized up by God... "Well, Bill, I'm really confused on this call; I'm not sure whether to send you to Heaven or Hell. After all, you enormously helped society by putting a computer in almost every home in America, yet you also created that ghastly Windows '95. I'm going to do something I've never done before. I'm going to let you decide where you want to go." Bill replied, "Well, what's the difference between the two?" God said, "I'm willing to let you visit both places briefly, to see if it will help your decision." "Fine, but where should I go first?" "I'll leave that up to you." "Okay then," said Bill, "let's try Hell first." So Bill went to Hell. It was a beautiful, clean, sandy beach with clear waters and lots of beautiful women running around, playing in the water, laughing and frolicking about. The sun was shining; the temperature perfect. He was very pleased. "This is great", he told God. "If this is Hell, I really want to see Heaven." "Fine," said God, and off they went. Heaven was a place high in the clouds, with angels drifting about, playing harps and singing. It was nice, but not as enticing as Hell. Bill thought for a quick minute, and rendered his decision."Hmmm. I think I'd prefer Hell," he told God. "Fine," retorted God, "as you desire." So Bill Gates went to Hell. Two weeks later, God decided to check on the late billionaire to see how he was doing in Hell. When he got there, he found Bill, shackled to a wall screaming amongst hot flames in dark caves, being burned and tortured by demons. "How's everything going?" he asked Bill. Bill responded with his voice filled with anguish and disappointment, "This is awful. This is nothing like the Hell I visited two weeks ago. I can't believe this is happening. What happened to that other place, with the beaches and the beautiful women playing in the water????" "Oh," God said, "that was Hell 3.1." THIS IS HELL 95! You can label them somehow also and use them to store charms, beads, stickers, replacement blades for the Fiskars Paper cutters, send small unmounted stamps in them to your SSS, store postage stamps or whatever. I'm so glad I heard about Halos on this List! I used to wood mount all my unmounteds. I'd have to wait till DH had the time to cut the blocks to size, then together we'd sand them. DH even had to get a new sander - for my benefit, you understand - since I complained his old one was too loud. (I don't recall it as being a twist-his-arm kind of thing though.) Then I'd mount the dies on doublestick foam, stamp the wood block, then mount the die to the wood. The Halos are so much easier that the first time I used them - I couldn't believe after just mounting the dies on the loop tape... I was done and ready to stamp! A3: It is Socrates Press, PO Box 661, Keyport WA 98345. Or better yet, just charge it to Visa/MC. Q4: Do we do any other kinds of stamps. A4: What do you want? If it makes a mark, we make it. Oops, almost forgot! I received these great cards in the mail yesterday. The following are the cards that I received: Vivian Thiele: White cs, with a layer of mauve corragated paper. On top of that is "Happy Birthday" embossed in blue and then colored in with chalks ( i think) Love those colors. On the inside stamped in red and embossed: Thinking of you on this Special Day! Very nice card! Diana Craig: On a light green cs is a layer of white/green marble like paper. Which is cut out with fancy scissors. Stamped in the middle is a heart embossed with gold ep. Inside the heart are two pink roses. Above the heart is "Happy Birthday". On the inside is "Wishing you the very best of Birthdays". Very pretty card! Michelle: On white cs is the three old ladies stamp.. with "blah, blah, blah, blah..." stamped on the front. The ladies are all colored in. On the inside is written: Just gossiping about you age. Happy Birthday! I need that stamp(SS if your out there). Michelle Oakley: On a eggshell cs is stamped a terra cotta pot with sunflowers. These are very nicely colored in. Stamped on the inside is "Happy Birthday". What stamp is on the front of the card?? Michelle Billett: On a light tan textured cs is a layer of white cs cut out with fancy scissors. On this is a wonderful stamped embossed birthday cake. With a checkered border. Plus the words Happy Birthday all around the sqare. This is colored in with bright colors!!. Another stamp that I need to get as well. Great Job!! Thanks to Eva for hosting the Happy Birthday Swap!! Look forward to doing more swaps with you!! My problem is that I have some stamps from the Metropolitan Museum of Art (grey rubber) that I mounted onto the loop tape, and the rubber slides off the tape. I don't have this problem with any other rubber that I've used, only the stamps from the Museum. Why are they sliding off the tape? Do you have any suggestions for an adhesive I can use to keep them on the tape? I'm frustrated because I love these stamps and it's very difficult to use them if they don't stay adhered to the tape! (obviously).
