This is truly beautiful cardstock. The grab bag includes four different neutrals (perfect for Easter or Spring cards). Included are white embossed leather, pebblestone, oyster flecks, and cottonwood. All of these are textured or have flecks or specks of a variety of neutral colors throughout the cardstock. These are not plain ho-hum papers - they are all quite beautiful. All are 80 lb. cardstock except the pebblestone which is 65 lb. I know that you will be taking a leap of faith by placing an order with me since I am a new vendor. That is why I am offering such a special price on this paper. All I ask is that you please give me a chance to show you what a wonderful vendor I will be for you. I must have received it Fri, but between picking up my oldest son from college for the weekend, and doing Girl Scout activities, I was hardly home, let alone at the computer, all weekend. She send me a beautiful card, with a shell stamped and colored in pinks, and purple, layered on gold and lavendar paper, and some real shells glued on (from Bonnie Lass?) The card is elegant. I've been trying to tell the girl scouts I've been making cards with, that you don't need 10 things stamped on your card. This is a good example of this. She sent an assortment of goodies to make cards with, and a plastic heart that can open up and hold(??????) something wonderful. She made a little game with the balls that you have to get in the holes, with cooties stamped in it. Its so cute. I told my 3 yr old that it was mine, "No, its not, it's MINE" (Why would mom want to play). Kim, this was a wonderful pkg to open up, and I'll be having SOOOOOO much fun with these things. I do know something to make and send you, hopefully this week. Sort of for valentines day, but hearts are appropriate any time. Kim, thanks so much. Round 2 NEW SIGN UPS - This post does not apply if you are already in a group!! I've had several people ask to join in the UM RR's. That's ok with me since there are enough of you to start another couple groups. Below is my original post with the rules - only the dates have changed. Round Robin: Unmounted rubber stamps Hosted by: Violetnut violet@javanet.com Items: Send 10-12 unmounted rubber stamps to me in the next week. Postmarked by: 13 February (I figure you already have them or you wouldn't join) Marcia Balonis, PO Box 358, Easthampton, MA 01027 Status: CLOSED - If you signed up for this your ums should be in the mail NOW. It was open for sign up and mailing until the 13th. RULES: A round robin means that you all send me some unmounted rubber stamps. I will mix them up, group you all into smaller groups, and mail them on to people in the group. When you get the package you can take up to 10 images and replace with the same number of more images. Then you PROMPTLY mail it on to the next name on the list. The problem that I have had (and others) in the past with RR's is that people delay mailing, forget, misplace etc the package when they receive it. It would be real nice if everyone would play by the rules and mail it out within 3 days. I know everyone will appreciate it if you each do your part to try to keep the package going. (bitch bitch bitch) Then when you mail it if you post to the list AND me I'll keep track of where things are. You know who is on first and all that sort of stuff. The packages will continue to make the rounds. I'll swap them from one group to another as well when they come back to me. (My name will be on the bottom of each list.) Well I had a lot of questions as to what a RR is and how it would work. I hope I've answered your questions. If this didn't explain how I plan to work it please email me again and I'll try to clarify anything I've left you confused on. This message was from "Marcia L. "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Crime" by Tamar Myers. is pretty good and it doesn't get much easier. kind of cheating I guess, but what the heck. course, I didn't make it like it says. anyway.. You start with a pound of bacon, and ya cook that til it's crispy and crumble it up. ya chop up an onion, and cook it til it starts to brown in 2-3T of the bacon grease. it didn't call for any potatoes but I thought it needed one, so I boiled a big one up and peeled and chopped it and tossed that in with the onions when they were almost done. Then you add a can of cream of chicken soup and a pint of half and half and stir that all together good, then you add 2 cans of creamed corn, and salt and pepper to taste, and cook it til it's good and hot. and then is done! serve it with crumbled up bacon on top. you could make this somewhat healthier by ignoring the bacon drippings cooking the onions in a squirt of spray canola, and using evaporated skim-milk or fat-free half and half. wouldn't be so good, but I may try that next time and see if is close enough to be edible. maybe toss in a smidge of a ham bouillion cube to give back that little bit of bacon taste, and use canned bacon crumbles for the sprinkle.. anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I can't imagine it took more than 1/2 hour or so to organize your stamp room-LOL...Isn't it wonderful to have everything all tidy! I try to straighten my stamp area up before a convention...lay out the scissors and loop tape so when I get home I'm ready to go! Carson's coming up in March, we'll see how I do. Now we just need to head to Florida and see what we can do to help Evo out! "Will work for cardstock?" Ellen Gordon (Evo) wrote: > Renee, I need you! Lisa: I understand exactly what you are saying, but I've been trying to get a=20 response from this hostess since November and she chooses to ignore me=20 each time I email her. I guess this is a last ditch effort to get a=20 response...even if it is a negative one.=20 I will definately choose my swaps more carefully next time and play with=20 someone who is more experienced at swaps. =20 Unfortunately, this was my first swap and I was very excited to see what=20 all the swap excitement was about. My bubble has been busted, to say=20 the least. Like I said, only two people posted that they received their=20 cards and several other people were asking "Where their cards were". =20 Not sure if they ever received them. There was even one person who said=20 they had sent this hostess money for a Gingerbread pattern and never=20 received it. I guess that is why I got a little hot under the collar. Like my mother always said..."Hind Sight is 20/20." =DC TheresaE This message was from TheresaE - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modem= s Arts & Crafts Forum. I find that if I spend a day away from the PC it helps. Well, I'm never totally away a whole day but don't spend so much time using the PC. Also, Aleve helps. My right wrist and fore finger can kill me from just sitting and clicking so much. Also, have found that if I hold the steering wheel underhanded it aggrivates it. One of the strange symptons is numbness in your hand/wrist when you wake up, can't remember why that is but I know it was part of the reason that I had to wear it at night. I always thought that pain was just from mashing my heavy head on my hand all night.......LOL. The doctor had me purchase a wrist band thing.....it holds your hand in a stationery position so you cannot bend your wrist. So when I had my worst flare up he had me wear that at NIGHT only, and take some prescript anti- inflammatory and it went away, so sometimes when it is bothering me unmericfully, I just wear that a little bit and then take an aleve or two.....because Aleve is napoxim or something and the anti-inflammatory he gave me was that it was just in a higher dose. also it is very important to not just sit in the same position doing the same thing constantly must give your muscles a break of at least 5 minutes every hour....also I have learned that getting up and walking around revives me a little. hope this helps........elaine This message was from RFergu6772@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I make cards for RAKs and swaps and birthdays. I just make them and send them. After there sent, I have no idea of which card I sent where. Then I get a thank you, sometimes with questions. What stamp did you use, what kind of coloring, is that glitter, what kind of scissors did you use. I don't even remember what card I sent, (Old Age, I can use that excuse). How do you answer people.
