What I have started doing is using small cheap envelopes which fit into a photo storage box. I stamp the outside of the envelope with the image(s) at the same time I stamp the page for my catalog, and generally put five to ten images in each envelope, in rough categories. I use black Vivid ink, because if I clean immediately with water, no ink is left on the die. Flipping through the envelopes is fast. I sorta waited to ambush the mailman today :) First thing I opened was the "Stamper a Day" die. It is already mounted and awaiting use. Asked if there was anything "unusual" for me, and he said "there sure is" ! I received my very first TTPO item. This one is from Giggles- and is something I will definitely use! Part of it is "to die for" I told him about he troubles some have been having mailing items and Gary (mailman) laughed and said he doesn't mind a bit. He really liked the part about us mailing things to the postmaster of the town and more things to the RS-er living there :) ------------------------------ From: ml28@cornell.edu Date: Thu, 6 Feb 1997 14:28:31 -0500 (EST) Subject: RS: Tan: Hate to ask, but can anyone help... I will be doing an informative presentation in a couple of weeks at school, and of course my topic of choice is the art of rubberstamping. Well, since I'm still a newbie, I need some help. As part of my presentation I would like to show off some of the "kick butt" stuff people can do with rs. However, my cards are only so-so. I've been in only a few swaps, so I don't have much of a collection. Since I will be presenting for my fellow engineering students, it's really important to me. I was wondering if I could borrow some of the cards that use advanced techniques and anything that would impress. I'd like to be able to show really pretty cards as well as weird, and realistic. Of course, I will be most willing to compensate you for the postage and return them after the presentation. If you can help, please let me know. thanks, My Hanh ------------------------------ From: Lisa Date: Thu, 6 Feb 1997 13:20:07 -0500 Subject: Embellishment Surprise Swap - REMINDER **************************************************************************** ***************************** PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SWAP MUST BE POSTMARKED BY THIS SATURDAY!!! **************************************************************************** ***************************** NAME OF SWAP: Embellishment Surprise Swap HOSTED BY: Lisa (InkyPaws) at chatty@erols.com ITEMS INFO: Send in groups of 3 (3,6,9,12) items and get the same back.
