I have saved insurrections, bought materials, bought tons of mounted stamps (and starting on UMs thanks to Halos and Evo), bought paper, cut paper, and organized until I am blue in the face. I have participated in about 12 swaps and made a few gifts, but I am struggling to find stamping time. Sammi (3 2/3) gets up at 7:00, doesn't nap, and still doesn't leave my presence until between 9-9:30 PM. I love my child dearly, but her five minutes of independent play every hour or so is not enough for me to get anything creative done. By the time I find a creative thought, she is tugging at me for something else. She does go to preschool, but it is a half hour away so I do food shopping and other errands and don't bother to come home. I am grateful to have found a stamping club so at least I can get away once a month and try to create something I am really proud of. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get more stamping accomplished? Any ideas that have worked for you? I am sure I am not in unique situation here.... I used to be a night owl, but now I am bone tired by the time she is tired, so I doubt consistent stamping at night will help me. Does anyone have any good ideas for things for her to do while I am stamping? She does have stamps and loves that, but then I usually end up helping her or cleaning up her mess..... The thing I do is try to do errands on the way home from work and do some stamping when she is in school on the 1 or 2 days a week I work from home. I read your email and said "Hey that's my life - right there". I also sign up for classes whenever I can get the hubby to watch her so that I can go out and stamp even if it is a class and I am not doing my own thing. I wish I could stay home all day and stamp and not do anything else. The little ones do have a way of cutting into your creativity. If you get any better advice - post it to the list. I'm sure we would all love to know how people with little ones do it and be creative at the same time.
