SS package! - -- [ From: Dee Fisher * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] -- My February package arrived today and my SS has done it again! Everything is just so perfect for me and I am just thrilled beyond words ! First thing I saw after opening the box was two envelopes. The first envelope was handmade of a wonderful paper design of postage stamps and contained a card from my SS. The card had a gorgeous rose stamped and embossed in white on vellum and colored from the back. I've never seen a card done like this and it is simply elegant! The right edge of the vellum is cut with edging scissors and a strip of pink ribbon is down the length of the left side of the card to finish it off perfectly. Inside the card is a lovely personal note. On the other envelope, my SS had written that she had a List Member make a flinger card for me! On white cardstock is layered a blue background with a fancy cut edge, with an adorable angel and the words "You're an angel" cut out and raised up. The angel is holding a heart. Inside is "thinking of you" and the flinger mechanism. Instructions to make the card are also included! Of course, I had to flip over the card in the hopes that it would say who created the great card... and it was Agape' Stamper - Linda Israel! Thank you Linda for sharing! Next to come out of the box was a Stampendous folder with instructions how to make several wonderful cards! I appreciate this so much! I've been stamping for several years, but had always done strictly "mail art" - - envelopes or stationery. I'm brand new to card making and need all the help I can get! Then I took out a baggie filled with embellishments - ribbon & cord & raffia & gold and silver glitter glue and other little goodies to use on cards. I then spotted a square plastic sandwich holder (which DH will use for work) and inside were three wrapped packages - three wood mounted RS's! I got trees and hills from A Stamp in The Hand, a flock of birds flying south from A Stamp in The Hand and rocks with grass from Posh Impressions - all perfect for the scenes I love to create! Also in the container were four generous baggies of embossing powders in such beautiful colors! Do I dare try to emboss in something besides black or gold? Next I unwrapped two pigment stamp pads, each with three bold beautiful colors. My SS seems determined to pull me out of my rut by giving me the opportunity to try new things I hadn't thought about doing! I can't wait to try these out! Another wrapped package is opened and reveals: Ooooh, Victoria's Secret Raspberry Glace' body lotion! What a heavenly smell! There's also some bubble bath samplers and heart bath beads! Finally getting toward the bottom of the box now... how DID she get so much in the box?! There's another larger sized wrapped package... and it's paper!... a generous supply of beautiful spring colors in card size cardstock and lots of green cardstock for St. Patrick's Day!... and a big package of so many different kinds & colors & sizes & textures of exotic papers that I can't begin to describe them all!!! These are totally amazing! Still one more to unwrap... two huge sheets of double stick backing! I really needed these and haven't been able to find a source for it! I've just recently started putting some of my UM's on HALO's, but there are those that I still plan to wood mount! Thank you so much SS for everything you sent! I truly do appreciate every single thing that you thoughtfully chose and wrapped up so beautifully just for me! Thanks also for introducing me to new things and taking the time to help me learn about making cards. I feel so lucky to have you as my SS!! Thank you! I can do the bags according to themes as well. Individual themes are limited, so first some first served. I also have some accessory grab bags that may include any of the following: pigment pads, embossing powders, punches, brayer, chalks, Kaleidacolor pads, glitter glue, Mini Vivids, Vivid pads, liquid applique, foils, matchbook pads, dry embossing stencils and stylus, punches, decorative scissors, & markers. If you want to mix some accessories with your stamps to create a grab bag just email me and we can work something out. If the grab bag is for a SSS I will gift wrap each item in the grab bag as an extra special touch and package it in an attractive manner. I will also enclose a card explaining that it is from their SS! I will also email you to let you know exactly when it went out and what was in it. I take money orders or checks. I look forward to helping you fulfill you SSS needs or your own stamping needs. Hi, the Directory is the wonderful book full of pages which have been done by each stamper...The pages might have photos on them, or stamps all over etc...each stamper uses their imagination to reflect themselves and their stamping..Then we make copies of this page and send it to the right hostess...Then that hostess sends these pages to the Queen hostess who then make a Directory book for all the participants and sends them out to us...Of course we sent a SAME with 3.00 postage attached... I think this is done maybe once or twice a year... It is a wonderful book that you crawl in bed with and read about everyone who participated.... Hope that helps and make sure you join the next directory swap..
