I made up a pattern for a box over the weekend and used a cheap gift wrap as the paper glued to the 'skeleton'. I'm noticing that the hinge of the cover is already showing wear (all those folks opening and shutting this box, giving me feedback on improvements/modifications ). Although I used a white linen book tape inside UNDER the paper on the hinge, I thought that it would improve the utility of this type of box if I used a black tape on the outside along the 'wear line'. I love linen tape (thin and elegant in texture) but white is an icky color for this...black would work with just about anything I do. This tape has stick on one-side only....peel off the paper layer and stick it down. I really don't want to apply glue to a ribbon or other non-adhesive embellishment....ideas? Hmmmm...color the white tape black with a permanent marker ???? If I had to choose between being the pregnant deer or the hungry wolf, I'd be the wolf. If I had to choose between being a deer that is not pregnant or one that is when the wolf comes around, I'd be the one that is not. But there is always room for other opinions, so I'll leave you to show the strength and voracity of the pregnant female. You suggested that no man could survive childbirth. I agreed. The process would rip him apart and kill him. More than that, I said that male-bashing (and female-bashing) served no benefit as we all row the boat of life together. You reply that you agree. We should not be involved in male or female bashing. You only wanted to point out that men can't raise families, run a home and in most cases, do other work as well as women. Nikki, you are a bigot. This conversation is just a little bizarre. I was replying to a person who complained that only a man could state that a pregnant woman needed no special consideration and used pioneer women as examples. My comment was that she might be surprised. So far as I know, only two men have commented in this thread and both were in favor of deferring to women with child. Then you came along. I thank you. You have proven my original point. - --Chris McEwen reply to: Socrates Press socrates@sprintmail.com - -----Original Message----- From: Nicholette Hart Subject: Re: RS: TAN: Parking spaces? >But in the wild it is known that it is the most dangerous to go anywhere >near a mother as she will do anything to protect her young even those >gestating.
