Some members from the list group met at the HALOs booth just to get acquainted and have a picture taken. The first person I met was Ruth the TV Lady. She said, "Antpam I have something from your SSS. She handed me a pretty bag closed with 2 pansy stickers and inside were two wonderful stamps from The Almost Rich and Famous Booth. One was an adorable bunny and the other was Easter eggs in grass. (I collect bunnies). And. . . she also gave me a card from my SSS. I'll probably get these mixed up but one card had the endangered species babies layered on shiny green paper layered on checked cardstock layered on green cardstock. It said "Have a wild time. SS". Then I got totally confused with people here. I met Christine Cox, Diane Hare, Joan the Night Owl Stamper, Barbara, Esther - Christines Mom, Stargazer, Sheryl (Halos), and Victoria - Rubberstamped. I got another card that has a dragon and a castle glued onto brayered in rainbow colors cardstock and layered twice more in pastel colors - says "Believe" on the front and on the inside it says "Dreams do come true". Diane (Snotmyfault) Hare gave me another tulip bag and pansy stickers with vinyl cling and cushion. She DID wear her bunny ears! I also received a grab bag of stamps that I think were from VIP (is that the ones with the wizards - they're so cute and what a bagfull!!!!). Diane said these were all from my SS. Another card followed - this one stamped on fabric and layered on cardstock - Noah's Ark - She knows all about the rain in our area?????- Inside it says "Hope you're having fun!" Then there were two large packages of gorgeous papers. The last card is a parchment like paper with 2 flowers stamped on it (really pretty - looks like the Stamping Up 2 step flowers). On the front it says Thinking of You and inside it says "Surprise". And last but not least I got a hug from Jaimie/Olivia and she said "This is from you SS" Well, what a wonderful surprise. How did you pull that off? It had to take some planning and I was very impressed, surprised and delighted!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to create such a wonderful surprise. It made the day so much more. Oh, yes. I also loved the rest of the day. I had my sister Betty with me who is visiting from Idaho and had never been to a convention and has only just recently started to stamp (she had about 10 stamps). She had a wonderful time. Kat from Stamp in the Hand stamped a lovely card and wrote "Betty's Garden" on it and Betty was just amazed. (Remember back to those first days of stamping????) I just can't picture it. I'd like to see it in person. I like evolving- images. I ran into this company at the Heirloom production convention in October last year in Arlington Heights ( a Chicago suburb). I bought some of their unmounted stamps and a large package of assorted cardstock. The colors and textures were wonderful. I don't recall seeing this storage system then. There is another convention coming up in April in Westmont by Heirloom productions will you be there? If not when is the next time you will be in the Chicago area?
