There are still cards. Actually, I'm going on first come first serve *when I get the envelopes*. However, please don't hesitate to e-mail me about cards and/or send a SASE. We're talking a lotta cards here, guys. And I'm even going to dig out some more because I *really* need to unbury my stamp room. (I have maybe 8 square inches of stamping surface on my table...the rest of it is buried...and so are the shelves, etc.) I do want to encourage people to tell me their preferences. Again, I can't promise, but I will try, and it will actually make it easier for me to sort the cards. FYI I have fewer weird cards than cute. But I do have some that are mainstream towards sort of weird. Or they're realistic or scenic--I wouldn't classify them as cute myself. So I'll do my best on weird, but it is sort of first come... I do apologize for answering messages so late. People were hoping to send their SASEs today and I didn't get to my computer to answer e-mail until 11 p.m. Another thing--I neglected to mention Canadian or overseas stampers as they can't send SASEs. If you're out of the states, but interested, contact me. We can work it out. (Isn't that a Beatles' tune?) I really don't forsee running out of cards, as I've said. I do think maybe people should only send SASEs for about 4 ounces max as I'd like to spread the cards around. On the very, very, very rare chance I've run out of cards when I get your SASEs, I'll send you SOMETHING. Unms, or confetti, or paper, or something. I think that's it. You may now return to your regular RS posts. I belive someone in the last couble of days posted about the how to's of it. What I did was put the laminating sheets between brown sacks and use IRON on LOW heat. It will skrink and curl if the iron is to hot or you heat it to long. It Fills different after it has been heated, you really can tell the differents. Well, I declare--The package was all wrapped in Valentine tissue, but the insides was a mixed bag! I found the clever card inside its thoroughly stuck down envy--I like the way you burned the edge, to go with the matchbook Valentine stamp layered on black corrugated on red card. The box was suggestive--a "squirrely nutcracker" came in it. Hmmm, I thought, this person knows me personally.....Inside was a clue that the theme was "green"--some green cardstock and a package for lime-flavored something--and in THAT some stickers of ten (I think) dollar bills. There was a green hybrid pen. There was an unmounted of a pine bough, and a stamp that declared "Nan". The was a paper casting mold of shamrocks, and a paper cast of some poppies that was colored with markers on the back, so the color was very subtle and soft on the front. Then, wrapped in green-backround fishy tissue was a wonderful fish candle--the kind with mosaic designs--in blue and lilac. And a note with instructions on how to do the paper casting and coloring. What fun! I just discovered papermaking, and I know casting wasn't far behind! Thanks, SS, and have I mentioned that I think your SS nom de guerre is really neat? I chuckle everytime I look at it! Why should we expect the law to operate within the bounds of common sense? Seriously, your explanation does make it much clearer to me what the difference in the two kinds of courts is... I'm dismayed to think that a person can be penalized, fined, etc, because it seems reasonable to believe they did something. Reminds me of the Salem witch trials...
