Ok I will fess up as to how I made these "simple, but elegant cards" as they have been called...I have more going out so about 15 of you need to watch your mail. First I took an oval stencil and traced the shape on scrap paper and cut out. Then I took a stamp called "blossom bunch" from DOTS and a rainbow pad and stamped around the outside of the oval...now for hard part...LOL...when you stamp around the oval leave enough space between each image to stamp it again...I stamped one side of the rainbow color first and then the other end of the pad...do you get it? Ok any way, it is easy! Then I took a felt tip marker..purple to match my ink..and with the stencil I traced the oval inside to create the frame look...then I took my word stamp and stamped it inside the oval...ok are you with me here? Good!! I then took a piece of plastic wrap and tap, tapped in the ink and then onto the card...around the frame. Ok for the finale!!!! I took a glue pen and trace the inside of the oval ...yes right over the marker..and added pink prisma glitter!! See very simple easy card!! You can use any small flower stamp or leaf or what ever...you can also use any shape too. Hearts work well for I love you cards. Have fun and ask me if you have a question. I do have a Microfleur by Microfleur U.S.A. 1281 Kimmerling Rd. #5-265 Gardnerville, NV 89410 Fax 702-265 5571 We used it a lot this last summer and now have many beautiful dried flowes. It is very easy to used, it takes only 20 to 40 seconds for most flowers and the colors are truly incredible! all of the other methods of flower driying that I had use in the past seems to take or dim away the color of the flowers, the Microfleur mantains all the colors vivids. I must admit that it was a little expensive $29.99, but I do plan to use it a lot this spring and summer, plus it is fun. I had the most wonderful time last summer with an old friend from S. America ( a 70 year old priest whom I know since I was 8 years old) that came to visit us, We spent a wonderfull summer afternoon in my newly build backyard deck driying wild flowers from my yard and talking about many profund and beautiful things... at the end of the afternoon he went into the house to his room and came back with a book placed dozens and dozens of dried flowers in it, went he could't fit any more in it he went back to his room and placed the book in his luggage!!! After awhile he came back upstairs gave me a hug and told me that he will put one of this flowers in each book he owns so each time he picks one he will remember to say a prayer for me!!!! This microfleur is worth every penny I spend on it!!!
