Her Mailman post is my favorite, but then again the post about the fish tank and the post about the repair man and the hallway is tops too ! Well besty - I love her - she actually had me driving from home to the convention site in Marlboro, cause I mentioned that its about 10 mintues then said 15 minutes from my house. Well she asked me which one - so I drove it ( its actually 17 minutes from my house.) So no harm was intended to Besty or anno. Again I am truly sorry. Besides, I have swaps that are do soon! In the article "Return to Paper Crafters" pg.9, they mention handmade texture stamps. Anyway, I made my own texture stamps and they work great!! What I did (so far), is stamped one texture all over cardstock with tinted ink, coated with EP and heated. Then I took a second texture and stamped it only in the center , coated it with a complimentary EP and heated. Then I sponged in the background using 4 different colors. Very nice!! And on page 86, there is a box topped with an aztec design in polymer clay................ Well, I have a few cigar boxes that I have (not today) decorated and topped with a decorated round chipboard or cardboard circle. Much easier than clay and no fumes!! Back to cleaning! DD and I tried it on black (all glossys) which is absolutely stunning; red--ugh--altough maybe one color, like gold on it might be ok, or maybe two, but mostly icky; white--so, so. Haven't tried yet, but may tonight on gold, silver and some other colors. Would like to know if someone tried it and their results--we used all the colors on all the papers at once--am trying to figure out how she got the lighter results--HELP anyone. What is the seventh color? Hope you enjoyed this poem as much as I did. Books and cats seem to go together--two of my favorites---although the cat usually wants top billing; right on top! Also they have some gorgeous huge sheets of petal papers for .99 to $1.99, at least $1 cheaper than other stores. Asked them if they had another store and they said no, but someplace in Auburn sells same things--whether at same prices I don't know--something like Creative.... or something Creative,.... or Cheap Crafts KIDDING!!! can't remember the name, but maybe someone in that area knows.
