I went last year, & it was a BLAST, but I didn't know about pins then. After taking a gander at Barbs Bra pin, I realized I can't show up with just the plain pins I've been making since last May - I've got to come up with something REALLY FANTASTIC, to give to the "special people" (ie, list members & some of the wonderful folks I've taken classes from & with!) Oh, I also wanted to mention that Carl & Dixie from Stampin Around in Lynnwood are putting together a van trip down to Puyallup BOTH DAYS (guess who's signed up for BOTH DAYS already!!!) It will cost $18 & include a box lunch (but NOT tickets, unfortunately - Carl & Dixie tried, but the convention people wouldn't sell them advance tickets) If you're interested, eMail me & I'll give you their number. I hope some of you decide to go on the van - it will be a GREAT opportunity for us to get to know each other better! Now, if I can only come up with a great idea for those pins.... - -Kitty iu This message was from Kitty - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Sheryl, You have outdone yourself once again! Thank you so very much for the "twINKlebell" postoids that you designed for me. I love the design and the colors. The Victorian look is soft and gentle with an artistic flair. And I love that you used the special font that I use for my signature nickname -- *twINKlebell*. And thank you for modifying the Wedding Ring Post for me. I love those, too. I told you that you didn't have to make a custom book/organizer for me. But truthfully, I'm so thrilled that you did. It is really wonderful!!! Even DH was impressed. He examined it carefully and concluded that you *REALLY* do nice work -- so professional. And he asked me, "How did she do that?" It must have taken you quite some time to make the book/organizer. It looks like you sewed a lot of it together, then fitted the book cover onto heavy cardboard that was padded with something to give it dimension. The fabric is soft, and it looks like it was sponged with fabric paints (?). On the front cover is an enlarged picture of my *twINKlebell* postoid that has been transferred onto cloth. *How* did you DO that??? The enlarged copy of my postoid is a separate piece of cloth that has been sewn into or onto the fabric book cover. Inside, the book/organizer is finished off beautifully with cloth also. It was a pleasure doing business with you -- except I think that I got the better end of the deal. Sheryl, your one of a kind, custom-made book/organizer is a work of art in itself. What a special treat! I love it because it commemorates my very special rubber stamping hobby in such a personal way and feels like a tribute to my rubber stamping persona. Everytime I look at my book cover and see *twINKlebell* there, it makes me smile. This book/organizer is something that I can and will keep and treasure forever. Thank you so very much! * * * * twINKlebell * ~ at @>-->-------- * * AZtwINK@juno.com * * * * * * * * * * * * * _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Frank) Subject: RS: Gold/White Swap in the Mail All the Gold/White swap packets are in the mail except the one that goes to Australia. I need to take it to the P.O. tomorrow. There were some very creative cards in this gold/white swap round. Please let me know if any one gets their own card back or if I miscounted on any. I tried to be very careful, but with the migraines I just can't concentrate. One card in particular that caught my eye was one that had a simple stamped background with a champagne label glued on the front. Very unique. I loved that card. (I didn't keep one, though, so I don't remember who made it.) Another card that caught my eye was one that had flowers on the front with beads glued on the centers. Very, very nice. I loved all the cards and would like to thank all of you for participating. Thank you for those of you who sent extra hostess cards, card stock samples, and thanks to those of you who sent UM stamps. I love them too. Moovis thanks for the goodie bag - I even shared with my hubby. I put a list of all the participants in your packets. Hugs, Debbie PS - I'm working on the fabric swap now since I picked up a WONDERFUL packet that was sent to my mom's addy. Hope to get these out by this weekend. With the legislature in session, I usually end up working late every nite except Thurs. and Friday. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Hey, wanna stamp?
