(They were squeezed out of a pastry tube one at a time, had hand-painted eyes, and the gelatin had to sit overnight.) 2. Yellow is the best selling Peeps color. 3. There are approximately 20 unofficial Web sites dedicated to Peeps, offering Peep recipes, art, fashion and trivia. 4. Marshmallow Peeps went wingfree in 1991, and the purple Peep was introduced in 1995. 5. Peeps are manufactured by Just Born Inc. (Bethlehem, Pa.), which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. 6. As many as 2 million Peeps are made each day, for a total of 600 million Marshmallow Peeps and Marshmallow Bunnies born this Easter season. 7. Peeps freeze well for those who crave Peeps throughout the year. 8. Each Peep has 32 calories and 0 fat grams. 9. Besides Peeps, Just Born also manufactures MIKE and IKE [registered trademark symbol], HOT TAMALES [registered trademark symbol], and Teenee Beanee [registered trademark symbol] gourmet jelly beans. 10. Marshmallow Peeps and Bunnies are the top-selling non-chocolate Easter candy in America. BTW, First Born is keeping up with the candy/food-"Joneses". You can find blue Peeps this year! Sorry it's taken me so long to post the descriptions! The cards were all great and I got some really good ideas! Tamara Brundridge did the cutest card - image of a leprechaun dancing for joy at finding the pot o' gold! Who makes this stamp? She stamped this on off-white cardstock and layered it on green (of course!) cardstock - great job on the coloring too! Becci made the neatest envelope type card - the card folds up and is its own envelope - so cool! I can't wait to try this for the grandkids. Inside the is a huge pot of gold - gold is literally oozing out of it. Great idea here, Becci! Linda Farrell made a bright *kelly* green card - on the front of the card is huge black pot with green shamrock confettis spilling out of it and a glittery rainbow inside a big gold shamrock. A lot of work went into this - - good work, Linda! From hazelplul@aol.com - An explosion card! I tried to make one a couple of weeks ago and just couldn't get it - now that I have a *living* example, I'm going to try it again! The front of her card shows a teeny leprechaun dancint through flowers - great job on the coloring and the sponging! You've really inspired me with the explosion inside! Thanks! From Laurie Morrison - I've received cards from Laurie (Celticstmpr@juno.com) in other swaps and I'm always amazed at her creativity! This time she made a tiny book - it's covered with heavy green mulberry paper; on the front there's a celtic square stamp embossed (in copper ep). To close the book, she used green cording and on the inside of the book I found the *Irish Blessing*. This is so great, Laurie, and I know it took a lot of time and effort! Then, not to be outdone, of course, our Ant Judy made little thank you notes - green shamrocks and *thank you* on white cardstock. This was placed inside a little green envy with a super medallion (from Friendly Plastic) on the front and I know she used metallic rub-on's to edge the envy. Very creative! I know I probably didn't do justice to the cards and my descriptions are not always the best BUT these were great cards and I loved getting all of them! Thank you all so much! And thanks, AJ, for putting this swap together!
