How about.... The Absent-Minded Stamper? :-) Gosh Raine, if I'm ever feeling down or having a bad day, all I have to do is read about your mishaps and know that I could be worse off! *lol* Really, though, I am sorry to hear about the 'fun' you've been having lately. It's like the other gal said, it couldn't get any worse, only better. Although I don't know what could be worse than having your stamping supplies locked up with no access. Cox" Subject: RS: Using Ribbon - reply I use ribbon sometimes on my cards. Some of my favorite techniques (these are all very dependent on the type of ribbon): 1. Use a wide ribbon with a lot of embroidered decoration on it down the left side of the card (not butted up against the edge of the card). Stamp in the square area left over. 2. Run a piece of organza ribbon diagonally down the card and then put a thinner piece of satin ribbon down the center of that. Stamp an image on a mica tile, layer with UTEE and then mount it in the center of the ribbon. The best one I ever did was with a brown organza ribbon and then a leopard print fabric ribbon. I made it into a travel card. 3. Run a piece of wide organza down the right side of the card (butted up against the edge) then run a 1/4" satin ribbon down the far right side. Decorate in the square left over. 4. Use a piece of ribbon looped and curled and wrapped around different elements on a collage card. 5. Use a ribbon to tie a gate fold card closed. Punch a hole in each side of the front of the card and lace the ribbon through. 6. Use a ribbon to tie a piece of vellum onto a piece of cs. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps. Cheers!!! Well, I seldom answer the doorbell cause I hate the dang thing and I hate being interrupeted. But I looked out the window and it was my fav postal person. He is a great guy and adores the whole idea of TTPO. Well, he's standing there with his hands behind his back, giggling like a madman. So, I go to the door and open it and he says, "OK, close your eyes and hold out your hands." And I say,"hmmm.... must be another one." He's laughing so hard he can't even answer me. So I close my eyes and hold out my hand and this really soft "thing" is gently deposited into my palms. I open my eyes and there, Nicolette, is your "shoe phone'. The PO person says, between snorts of laughter, tht it would have been delivered yesterday, but his relief was on duty and didn't have a clue what to do with this. The other workers, being pretty funny people, didn't tell him. They just keep teasing him about Maxwell Smart (a character from a TV show that had a telephone in his shoe...very funny when it was on about 15 years ago...) So, the TTPO from New Zealand has arrived, safely, if somewhat delayed and has provided huge amounts of laughter to lots and lots of people. THANK YOU!!
