Thanks stargazer for hosting. Becci Thomas ade a wonderful "pin" card! The front panel is stamped with a large snowflake...the center of which is a beautiful snowflake pin stamped in a deep blue with holographic ( I think) embossing. The top portion of the front panel has been cut away in the shape of the snowflake allowing the navy blue cardstock on the inside of the card to be seen. Becci has added snowflake white confetti. Fun card...love the way Becci has cut away the top of the card front. Debi Lym made an adorable Pop up snowman card. As the card is opened the cheery snowman pops up admidst all these wonderful silver snowflakes. This card is really neat....the snowman makes me smile. Dianna Knapp made a beautiful cling vinyl snowflake that is "smiling" at me from my refrigerator right this minute. Dianna used a soft blue to emboss the snowflake. I love this idea. Andrea Lum....does this lady have a way with a pair of scissors! Wow! The card opens to a gorgeous hand cut snowflake that unfolds as the card is opened. The card itself is a deep burgundy, with a rich gold foil diamond mounted in the center. Over this is layered white CS on which Andrea has embossed tiny falling snowflakes in shades of purple. Amanda Bristol made a beautiful tree ornament....on navy CS, she embossed a large snowflake with silver EP. The snowflake is laminated and has silver cord to hang it from next year's Christmas tree. How did you ever cut this snowflake out....must have taken hours!!!! Kristen Watts made her fun card on cadet blue CS. She has lots of white confetti snowflakes falling across the CS. Each snowflake center is silver glitter. In the bottom right hand corner, Kristen has stamped a blue snowflake on white CS and again, center of the snowflake is silver glitter. The inside is stamped with another blue snowflake with fun silver glitter squigglies. Anonymous sender made a very beautiful, delicate card using white vellum. The front of the vellum is embossed with snowflakes and the phrase "let it snow." the effect of the white on white is very rich. The vellum covers white cardstock on which a large fir tree has been embossed in green. A delicate white satin bow in the upper left corner holds the 2 layers together. Gorgeous card. Claudia used dark green CS on which she mounted white irregularly shaped CS. The white CS is stamped with the sweetest little angel on tiptoe who is putting a halo on an angel snowman. Tiny aqua snowflakes are embossed on the green CS. The greeting inside says......"Snow flakes are Angel Kisses" Love this saying. This is a really sweet card. Thanks to each of you....I love these cards.....and again.....thanks you stargazer. So many sick children in my local paper the past few days and it made me think about something that would be fun to do, I called and said that I would love to teach them to stamp and stuff, but they think that it might be too much for some of the kids, so the nurses suggested cards and postcards from all the states. So how about a monthly group for Kids ? I want to try to get as many cards as I can for the childrens hospital, ( UMass - Medical Center Pedi ward). They take care of children from out patients to long term patients, cancer, chemo treatments, any type of life threating illness are treated at UMass. The nurses told me today that the kids that are long term get cards and stuff for the first 2 or 3 weeks/visits and then bang nothing else/ thats sad - plus I know the parents would love that someone was thinking of them. I thought it would be nice to try to see how many cards a month we could get to the kids. Most of the children have terminal illnesses and are pretty sick little tots. If anyone is interested - let me know and I will figure out dates and call the Pedi ward and see if its better to drop them off once a month. My DH collects tools! I call him my very own tool man. He particularly loves antique tools and has dragged me to junk and antique stores when we are on vacation. I collect stamps of tools and use them to make him cards with.
