I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa was faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my granfather ramble about his youth. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television - and more while watching life. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of preganancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "later, Now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love yous" more "I'm sorrys" but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it...live it...and never give it back. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. I take it to the table and rip it open and the first thing I see on the top is WALLPAPER! I haven't gotten up the nerve to ask any store for any, so have just done without, even tho' I have received many envys made with them, and even a few cards...well, now I have some of my own!!!! I decide I better write about this at the computer so I log on and reopen my pkg. I love these pieces of wallpaper...that blue one is going to be hard to use...I'll just have to save it!!! And bleeding tissue...now how can you know that I have been asking about this on another list I am on...you aren't AMY are you??? Now, I can try this great idea that Amy Howell posted about using the bleeding tissue!!! Oh, thank you!!!! Before I thought you must be from the So. A beautiful piece of wallpaper border....Oh!, a whole stack!!! Great designs with boats, and cars, and patterns and abstracts and florals...oh, these are fab! Now, a confetti envy with a card...Oh, this is great! I large mica chip with pansys and confetti and little chips (are these perfect FX?) all encased....as the focal point of a wonderful collage card...this is wonderful! OK, I'll write to your SSS addy to give ideas! Take away more peanuts and a huge solid chocolate bunny! How can I hide this from the kids??? And a pr. of heartbeat Fiskars, and some solid egg candles that are so cute! OH....a pkg. of foreign stamps!!! ACK! So pretty! This is such a great pkg.... and there is more! Next there is a great stamp of some early 1900's men running...ooohhhh, this is a neat stamp...maybe can use in a father's day card..with something about "you are in front of the pack", or" the winner", or" leader of the pack"...or" a clear front runner"...OK, now back to the pkg... A royal blue colorbox (I don't have that and it is a great color!) and a Red Castle Stampers notebook to decorate....this is cool! AND more stamps! A wonderful gumbo graphic nude and a cool stamp by toybox of hands and the earth, or is it a crystal ball, oh...these stamps have great possibilites...what great taste you have in stamps! And there is more.... a Nouveau corner design a card...haven't even seen one of these! Ah, a 1/2 " natural raffia ribbon...great for collage..don't have anything like that! CCCC - Robin Cramer Now I have those infamous napkins everyone is talkign about! I like the card too. On cream colored cs she has a dock, lily pads, cats tails (the plant, not the real animal), and flowers with a cat jumping into the pond saying "Bonsai!". Cute. She also used her crimper and put two stips on each side of the picture. I like it. Sandra Hampson - She did a robotic cat and mouse on purple cs, and get this, she did a cat corner punch. This isn't the usual full punch of a cat. This is its ears and head only. I like it!! Then today, I received my UM grab bag from Giggles. GREAT FUDGE!!!! I'm not usually a fudge person, but this fudge is fantastic. I can still feel it literally melting in mouth. Oh, and the stamps were great too! :-) I received my order from HRS. Thanks Ginny and Tom for keeping me informed. I will be e-mailing you privately with a question. Creative Images!! Woo-Hoo! I got my order lickity split as usual, with the UMs I ordered Barbara included a free UM, thank you, BUT I also got a sneak peek at her PLATE #3! Great images Barbara, I'm going to be e-mailing you also later on. So for now I suppose I should start paying attention to my little ones. My kids that is. Should wash away in first rain. Go for it! Leslie "Finger Print-cess" >>> GGMCCOR 03/26/98 11:54am >>> So what are you all going to do for April Fools day, or what *have* you = done? I just love to hear these stories! I once sewed all the fly's on my kid brother's underwear shut the night before. You shoulda seen the look on his face when he came home that day! Bwahahahah! The next year I slipped a piece of cardboard in with the bologne in his = lunch sandwich when Mom wasn't looking. Then the next year I wrote on him = (stuff like "Kilroy was here" "If lost return to . . . " smiley faces, etc = etc) the night before with a non-washable marker while he slept. He had gym = the next day. He got kinda funny-acting every April first after that, all the = way until I moved out. odd. Makes me wonder now . . .because he just this past month moved all the way across the country to Seattle. . . . Then there was the condo complex where we used to live. They had a = number of boulders on either side of the entrance to the parking area. So one = night, about 3am, I went over there with some white and black acrylic paint and painted eyes on the boulders. There was quite a bit of chatter over that = one . We've heard that the new management has turned the boulders over. Humorless party poopers! I kinda had a thought of doing something rather mild this year with the = tree in the backyard, as fussy as hubby is about his yard:=20 You see, its not just any oldl tree. When we first looked at this house, = I not only fell in love with the house itself but with the tree in the = backyard. Its smack dab in the dead center of the back of the yard and HUGE with 6 = big fat branches splitting up the main trunk at about 4 feet from the ground. Each pair of branches are parallel to each other so from our windows it = looks like three big fat branches. Two of these branches are angled extreme = right, two are angled extreme left and two go straight up. put a giant circle around it and it would look exactly like a giant Peace sign (hey, I was in high school in the 70's, peace signs figured highly in my life back then = ) Plus, and this is where the deal comes in, the bottom of the trunk where = it enters the ground has the beginnings of the root system looking somewhat = like a mountain's foothills but there are four of them visible and each is the = same size and perfectly spaced from the others. =20 Just like toes. =20 I am so tempted to go at them with white paint and paint toenails on them = but hubby would have 3 cows. (snicker snicker) }: ) =20 If I did, it would look exactly like the world's biggest elephant foot! = Or a giant dinosaur foot. Or Godzilla! Just paint it and say nothing. Wonder when he'd notice? There's gotta be some kinda paint or something that could be washed away = with a garden hose. Chalk wouldn't work too well as its a very deeply textured bark (Norway Maple, Silver Maple??) I wouldn't do anything really rotten to the guy - he doesn't deserve that = but I gotta cause a little trouble. Feathers - resident nut and weirdo doing her part to keep the TANS going. = And whose darling little son doesn't know how very lucky he is that he had = himself born on March 31 and didn't wait one more day.
