I have only had one April Fools Day joke work in my lifetime. That was about two years ago. We had one kid at that time and were secretly trying to get pregnant again. I sent an email to a bunch of friends that told them that I was pregnant and that we had just been that morning for a preliminary ultrasound and discovered that we were having twins. I put a page long buffer in the message and then said something like "Gotcha! Happy April Fools!!!!". Well, one friend called her hubby at work as soon as she read I was pregnant and realized once she started telling him that there was more to the message than she had read. I had another friend who never noticed the buffer zone, quickly logged off and called a bunch of other mutual friends. She emailed me later that day congratulating and all that stuff. I then emailed her back and told her to go back and look at the WHOLE message again! She couldn't believe how well I had gotten her. I sent the message to 6 friends and all 6 of them thought I was going to have twins for at least a few minutes. I think I got the biggest laugh out of it! Now, if only I could think of something to top that one! cheers....nancy GGMCCOR wrote: > So what are you all going to do for April Fools day, or what *have* you done? > I just love to hear these stories! > > I once sewed all the fly's on my kid brother's underwear shut the night > before. Hey Guys, I wanna plug another cool rs company I've learned about recently. Actually, they've been around awhile, but they've kind of gone by the wayside of late. The company is called A.N.T. Transfer, and the owner is a woman named Nancy Gano. She started the biz with a friend a number of years ago, and then the friend decided she wanted to go on to other things. Nancy's handling the business herself, but she's been ill with breast cancer, and has had to slow way down. But, she's BACK and in need of new customers, ready to do BUSINESS! I told her about this list, and asked if I could plug her company here, and she said PLEASE! So here it is: her catalog is FABULOUS! I first got it a couple months ago from Leilani Schooling, when I was looking for something. It's a BIG catalog, and has everything from nice nudes to country cute, and everything in between. Animals, florals, holiday, everything. I'm not affiliated in any way, not getting a kick back, all that! LOL! I just love her catalog, and would LOVE it if I could drum up a bunch of business for her from the list. When you order the catalog, say you're from the list, or that Robin sent you, so she'll be able to know how much new biz was generated from my mentioning her here, K? So here's the info: A.N.T. Transfer 1482 Marcia Avenue San Jose, CA 95125 The catalog is $3.00, and she only sells mounted right now, but still gets to a convention now and then and has UMs there. Oh, and in my opinion, her stamps are BEAUTIFULLY mounted, and way underpriced for as nice as they are. I usually buy only UM, but have bought several from her lately, 'cause the price is right and they're so nice. She's not on line, doesn't do phone orders, and no wholesale. She's really a very nice person, and has been struggling recently, but she's up for getting back into the swing of it, and would love to send you a catalog! OK, that's it, that's my plug...questions, e- me privately, K? Get the catty, you'll love it! :o) Robin This message was from MaVinci2 - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
