Thanks Thea for hosting this. From Debbie Lester a swag of hot peppers topped with UTEE (?). Great effect. Kathy Anderson sent green peppers on tan, layered on green mulberry, on pale green CS. Very nice. Warmest wishes inside - clever. From Raine - Recipe card that was mentioned before. Won't compliment her on her handwriting now that the truth is out. The Floats sound good though. Shawn Buckmaster - My favorite pepper stamp, the pepper heart done on beige CS that was torn and the edges gilded, layered on dark red mulberry paper, on top of the original beige CS with a raffia bow. Again Warmest wishes inside. I have to go look at my Christmas stuff to see if I have that too. Nice card. Finally, from Robin Moore, red peppers on green shelf lining with southwestern style confetti attached on the red CS the has a lattice border, on top of neon green CS. Inside it says Feelin' Hot Hot Hot!!! Neat card - tidy, too. Thanks Pat Koss This message was from "Patricia A. They also sent it in writing but I don't have that sheet handy at the moment. Stampendous does allow you to sell "their" images on cards etc HOWEVER you must give them credit for the stamp. So somewhere you have to write stamps by Stampendous. As for Cherished Teddies, Moose Creek and Precious Moments...these are not just copywrited by TradeMarked. That means royalties have to be paid to these originators. You can not legally sell anything with these unless you are willing to pay for the rights. Hope this helps. The definite highlight was meeting some other stampers from this list. I saw Jana' deMore, Ruth (tvlady), Eileen (fligamapoof), Eileen's daughter, Ruth Hindin (from Ruth's Jewish and other stamps), Ruth's daughter Julie, Ardyth, hmmm, and more! I'm sorry I'm so bad with names! However, we did take a photo of the ones who met at Auntie Amy's booth at noon. I will try to get the photo processed sometime soon and maybe on someone's (Christine Cox??) web page. I got to see the neat story stamps that Ruth Hindin's daughter designed. It was a real treat to meet Julie too. Eileen had the greatest little shrink plastic book like the ones in Somerset. She said her daughter made it. Then her daughter came and she was wearing another book. After seeing these, I'm inspired to try them again. My favorite booths were: Paper Parachute (really cool catalog and grab bags), Stamping Room Only, AIG (even though I didn't buy anything), Ruth's Jewish Stamps, Art Geko, Stamp Out Cute... I loved seeing the demos of Acu-Cut and Xyron. Hmm, too bad money doesn't grow on trees. My sister and I had a great time. We pool our money and when we find one we both like we buy a single stamp and share. I don't know what we'll do if one of us ever moves away. To my SSS: I really restrained myself and here's a list of what I got: 4" brayer, 2 Paper Parachute UMs & their catalog, Stamping Room Only Chinese Love character, detail gold EP, garnet EP, teal EP, 2 of Julie's story stamps and that's it for me. I did get some other things, but they are for other people (like my SSS). I was a little disappointed that more people weren't trading pins, but I did give quite a few away to those who didn't know about trading pins. Anyone want a little easter pin? Signing off...that's all for this little reporter. I'm off to play with my stamps! First of all Reah Feiertag, sent me a lovely Birthday Card... it is done on a black and white paper... the black is on the outside of the card and is stamped with a variety of star patterns and a moon and angel on the front all embossed in gold what a staggering image! Thank you Reah for the most wonderful suprise... Peppatty sent a lovely card with pansies on the front... She used a corner punch to create a lovely finish to the white background of the card... And then she added something very special.. a fat quarter of a beautiful fabric... since I am an avid quilter this will definitly be a piece of fabric that will find its way into a very lovely quilt Last, I received a most beautiful floral arrangement from Dot Ferris while I was in the hospital for my birthday... What a joy and suprise this was! Right now I am still attempting to wind down some from the trip home and I am taking little breaks here and there... I have walked more in the last few hours than I have in over a week... so I know I need to slow dowm some... thank all of your for your RAK's they are very special to me. The Internet Traffic Report is a helpful tool for gauging how quickly data traffic is moving on the Internet in general, or in your area in particular. The graphically represented, easy-to-understand results can let you know if the file from San Jose will speed along the wires at a reasonable speed, or if thousands of folks are currently online downloading that silly Ally McBeal dancing baby. --EH - - - --------- End forwarded message ---------- _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. So here goes!!! From Karen Harris - A great vendor. She kept me posted every step of the way about my yo-yo stamp order. It's a pleasure to do business with all of these great vendors we have on the list. From my Monthly Card Swap Group 8: I've received great cards from everyone. I enjoy receiving everyone of them. I don't have them in front of me, so I can't describe them, but they are great. CCCC Cards: Since I'm not an active member any more, I just receiving return cards. I've received a great card from Heather Reilly. She gold embossed a cute long haired cat, cut it out and layered it onto a light blue checked paper that was mounted onto white cardstock. From Pam MacVittie I received a cut cat magnet with a cat guarding his/her food bowl that has "Go ahead make my day" on it. Thanks for the great cat cards. From Bonnie Lass: Another great vendor. I received my very first rollergraph. I got the cat one. I love this thing. I don't know what I've done without one before now. I will definitely be ordering more of these. Well that's all for now. Good Stamping everyone, Karen Byrd - CatHappy Well I guess that's all the mail I've received lately. I'm wondering if plain tap water would make a difference.<< maybe is cuz of the variation in tapwaters.. they got more minerals and chemicals and stuff and maybe when they dry they leave a residue that would be noticeable, 'specially on black glossy paper.. like waterspots on glasses? anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
