It sounds just wonderful, but I'd be very careful and want to know exactly what kind of printer they used. My HP brings the paper up and over, so I'm not willing to try it unless HP tells me it's ok. Be sure to check specifications in your print manual or call them, so you won't void the warrenty. I know some printers pass the paper straight through, but mine doesn't. Eileen I have wept in the night for the shortness of sight that to somebody's need made me blind; But I never have yet felt a tinge of regret for being a little too kind. Okay everyone...I saw this on Aleene's today. You take your shrink plastic and spray a coat of matte finish clear varnish on it. Let dry. Now you can run this plastic through your computer printer and print anything...clip art, photos you've scanned or have on a disk. let the ink dry. Respray with matte varnish. Now you can shrink your ART! Think of the possibilities. Holly _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. My mom has a stamp store and generates a newsletter every month. One of the girls who attends the Stamp Club that IS NOT sponsored in any way by the store but meets at the store, told my mom she would do a demo on Stampin' Up because she reps that line. Well apparently someone read the newsletter that said she was going to demo, and called Stampin' Up headquarters. She got a call from Stampin' up and was told that she could not do the demo because it violated her contract with them. Now isn't that stupid, she can't do a demo and generate new business just because it is being held in a stamp store. Well, it's the same thing as angel companies in my opinion. If someone sees a sample, likes it, then they want to duplicate it! That means buying the stamps, inks, etc that go along with making that card. So why can't we sell what we create? Because there is a copyright, ok, I can deal with Disney saying no, and Precious Moments, and any other BIG known name, but someone like Hero Arts who all kinds of different stamps......They just lose business in my opinion..... This is perhaps one of if not the most difficult messages I have ever had to post to the list. This is even more difficult considering the outpouring of love and kindness just shown to Giggles during the just completed Spring Fling. It is even more difficult because I do not know where to begin. But as the song says, "let's start at the very beginning." As a lot of you undoubtedly know, Giggles has been undergoing treatments for leukemia for a number of years and during the last year has been receiving experimental treatments for the non-surgical removal of liver tumors which were brought on by the chemicals used during the chemo treatments. Well a couple of weeks ago the doctor's implied that certain things around the house might be contributing to the repeated resurgence and stubbornness of the tumors. Tests have been done and the results are in. Certain inks, and powders we are using are aggravating the situation and because of this, Giggles and I will no longer be able to stamp. Gosh that was hard to say. We are not certain what we will be doing with the thousands of stamps we own and the related material. Perhaps in a few weeks or so after our heads have cleared and we have gotten used to not being able to send cards to all of you wonderful people, we might just decide to sell or auction off whatever we presently own. Now at least you all know why it is I have not been as active on the list as I used to be. I saw this coming and these past few weeks have been especially difficult for me, not to mention Giggles once we received the final test results today. I do think that we will be able to visit the list once in a while, if that is alright with you folk, but for now, we must say good bye to all of you for a while and............................ =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 Most of what I really need to know about how to live a= nd what to do and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate mountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery school.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play= fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the w= orld, watch for traffic, hold hands and stick together. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup. The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the litt= le seed in the plastic cup - they all die. So do we.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the= first word you learned, the biggest word of all: Look. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and sane living.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 Think of what a better world it would be if we all - t= he whole world - had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nations to always put things back where found them and cleaned up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you
are, when you go out into the world, it is better to hold hands and stick together.

In a message dated 98-03-31 19:33:30 EST, WillnLiza@aol.com writes: << OK...Sorry in advance if this is a lame question - but what is a minibook?? >> No mystery about it although it's not the first time the question has been asked: we just are making little books. "Mini" usually means anything 3" or smaller and we're making ours 1-1/2" square so we called them "mini-mini". They have been mostly accordian fold style although it's really "anything goes" deal. I can send instructions (no drawings) via email for those of you that would like specific "how to" details. - -giselle This message was from Wolfenhnd - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. And it's certainly going "out like a lamb," here in NY. Enjoy any of the quotes you may have missed over the month in this compilation. All best-- Lisa 3/1/98 "You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
