Thank you for sharing your views; may everything you so richly deserve come your way without delay. Ant Judy H. Just because I wanted to. >>Chris, Juno doesn't have a filter, but I use my delete key very liberally. Besides, I don't have the time to read 200-300+ messages everyday. I have enough trouble corresponding with the handful of people that I have grown to know through this list -- one of the wonderful benefits of being subbed here, BTW. The thing about this list that is both interesting and frustrating for me is that it's an open forum where hundreds of diverse people congregate -- that, of course, includes an array of personality types. I've been on this list for a little over a year. It's taken me almost that long to accept that there are *all kinds* of personalities here. In "real life," I don't hang out with people who *consistently* tend to put others down or who like to *run my life*, if you know what I mean. I already have one mother -- I don't need anymore. That's the downside of an open forum like this. It's hard to avoid the personality types that I don't click with. Several times, I have posted messages expressing my views and values. And I have to admit that I really wish that certain people weren't rude, insensitive, and/or intrusive so often. But the reality is I can't change anyone's behavior except my own, and it isn't my place to try to do that anyway. (That doesn't mean that I won't tell you what I think if you write to me and ask -- but if I've already answered you privately, I don't find any purpose in repeating myself just in case you didn't like what I said the first time.) Anyway, my point is I agree with you about *filtering* the list email. Let's face it. In real life, we *don't* like *everyone*. That saying -- "birds of a feather flock together" -- is so true. We all have our unique personality styles, and like attracts like. Filtering or deleting is the analogue to not hanging with people that I don't *click* with. Someone commented that this list is run by a "chosen few." I used to feel that way before I started filtering with my delete key. Now, I see that that's not true. I discovered that there are so many more interesting, fun, upbeat posts than the rude or insensitive ones after I filtered out the posts from the people that I don't click with. Although it's nice to see posts from people who prefer to be supportive, nurturing, kind, or non-intrusive, I've got to accept that life is not always rosy. The solution -- as you suggested Chris -- really works for me. . . . Filter -- or delete, delete, delete. twINK ;) PS: Jaimee, I'll be watching your ads for something that I'm interested in buying. I wish you the best in your new endeavor as a vendor.<< This message was from "Judy Hornbrook" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Kinda expensive tho'...mine were $3 .50 each. I, too, love my black Memories ink pad, but still think my Printworks Watercolor is great for some things, and then there is my Marvy and my huge, jumbo Hero one...that has been inked with lots of different reinkers in it's many years of service! Have something just for those who do the rude, crude, nasty, etc. I am clearing out and making way for new things. Have two sets of Stamp Art Gallery stamps from ANM. There are three stamps - 3 1/2 x 2" and one black stamp pad same size. Packaged in gray with Grecian columns and art work. Stamps are: Venus DeMilo, The thinker (in case anyone has forgotten he has no clothes on) and last, but not least, full front nude of man (don't remember the name of this one) with side face pose. Very daring but no one wanted them. I had to kind of hide them a bit out of the way because I didn't want to get a reputation as having pornographic stamps here - ha, ha. These are a great buy at 16.00 and I pay sh/h. Will throw in some papers too. Now, ladies are your tongues hanging out? Great for those nudie swaps. Also have a set of 10 ml. 5 x 8" magnetic sheets. 2.35 + postage. Templates to die for: City, mountain, hearts and flowers, Winnie the Pooh, and Mary Englebreight. 2.49 and I pay postage. Lots more and have the Book of Inspiration coming shortly, Memory Book Samplers, June and wedding samplers, spring supplement from PSX and other learning items. My apologies for these being delayed but most everyone has been very kind and understanding. Corrugated and other papers soon. Take care and thanks to y'all. The fuschia (?) cardstock is absolutely gorgeous. Black and white checkerboard square placed as a diamond over pop dot (sheet not dot on this) and square with purple frame over it. Inside frame is the most darling angel pig with banner across bottom of outfit. Heart and circles in it. Colors are, of course, pink for pig, banner and light pink for wings. Blue background around pig with stars in it. Cutest idea and am dying to find out where pig is from or whole thing if it is one stamp. I would stock this if I can get it. CUTE and so clever. Things are getting better and I do appreciate this and other RAKs. Candi Walmsley sent cutest card also. Envelope had clovers and cute scaredy cat on front. Card is on white cardstock with the two housemouse critters with tails entwined sitting head to head. Moon and hearts drawn above. Grass on either side. House mice my next stamps to carry here. Thanks to you too. Helen: It looks as if she used a bit of blue and white wall paper for the first layer over white cardstock. Light blue and another white cs over it and last is multi color paper - scissored with different design from what I have seen. Three colors on card - blue on top third, peach (?) next third and light green on bottom. Stamp (s): tree like small Bonsai at left, turtle below that on rock in water and beautiful bird in flight towards turtle. Wonderful stamp and creativity. Envelope is blue coffeepot wallpaper and inside flap has contrasting blue paper. See what you can do with all these wonderful wallpapers. Joy Consiglio: My, but your heart is in the right place - double heart with waves of tiny hearts coming to the left and in the lower left hand corner. Fits perfectly. Sticker looks like some of Judi Kins small stamps. Carousel horse and scalloped heart with roses stickers wonderfully unique. House Mouse at it again. He is asleep on thistle with purple flower and between two others, one on each side. Words in tiny clouds say, "my dream is that you have been rak'd. Each word in tiny cloud done in gold fine line pen.Inside is paper envelope (like wax paper) with what looks to be a Russian stamp from 1965. Two men jumping under basketball net. Flags of different countries on left and top border. Very gorgeous stamp. Miniature no seal envelope with stars confetti inside. What a wonderful thought. And, Redstick: you do stay busy don't you? Envelope is tan with three different ferns , great stork type bird and 3C stamp with crane on it on front. Card is green base with gold ink along edge. Shiny green exotic paper to the left side of this and on top: Tan cs to the right and lower side of this. Ferns done in green in various areas, clouds all over card, another crane type bird and two cut out sections with postage stamps in the cut out squares. Are these postoids? (hate to show my ignorance). Wonderful to have this ability. Shaunna Frasure and Donna Consiglio envelopes: Shaunna has cc cookies and bites out of cookies all over back and front. Looks to be Clearsnaps roller stamps. In lower right hand corner "In the cookie of Life Friends are the chocolate chips. Donna's envy is brightly colored all over with flowers, kind of cartoony,, with hearts, leaves and bubbles all over. Address has frame around it. Return address has frame in the form of a stage with roof - something like Punch & Judy stage. Stamp area has frame also. Cute, cute, cute. I feel very humble with all of this talent around me. Nurture this and don't ever let it go.
