I was so excited when they first came out because it was a source of rubber to use with HALOS and I didn't have too many images at that time. I bought lots of them and tried marketing them, but at that time the stamping world wasn't ready for unmounteds. I used to buy their wood packs and cover the wood with HALOS hook tape before we had the clear mounts. I think they'd fly now that so many people are into unmounteds. I have a bunch of these I will sell for wholesale while supplies last--'cause I can't take them to conventions-- which is $5 on the large ones that retailed for $10. It would take too long to tell you what's on each one, but I'll do grab bags for $5, $10, on up in $5 increments. This is a wonderful value, because the rubber sheets are larger than ones we sell for our discounted prices, and you can use the cushion that comes with them for layering, and they come with index sheets that you can use in your storage system. Or you can do what they were intended for, and put them on wood. Shipping $3 - (H.A.L.0.S.) 2972 W. 10460 S. South Jordan, Utah 84095 They're nice rubber, huh, anno! My wife learned how to drive 8 years ago and my eldest daughter a year after that. Then, 6 years ago we moved from the east coast to Washington state. I drove the truck. Ester and Myla shared the chore of driving the family car. Driving cross country in two vehicles is always exciting. We were very worried about being separated and not being able to find each other. It was made all the worse by their lack of driving experience. But we pulled it off without a flaw by installing CB radios in both vehicles. By doing so, I was able to talk them through the complicated interstate highway interchanges, and calm their nerves. There were a few humorous occassions. Ester hadn't really gotten the hang of using 5th gear on the highway. She'd be screaming along in 3rd gear. I could image the family arriving in Washington in great shape but towing the car, so every now and then I'd get on the radio and remind her: "What gear are you in, honey?" There'd usually be a mumbling on the other end. I knew the question was timely. Then, in the middle of Kansas, we had the usual exchange. But the response didn't come from Ester. Instead it was a deep male voice: "Seventh gear. Which should I be in, sweetheart?" I got real quiet right fast! - --Chris McEwen reply to: Socrates Press socrates@sprintmail.com Keyport, Washington - -----Original Message----- From: Lynette Walters Subject: RS: TAN We're moving (long) >When are we leaving/arriving? Just the first I've seen get treated this way. Yeah, Judy made her remarks (which to me were unkind), but like you I don't understand why some of the others thought it in good taste to join in. We all ask questions now and then and need help with something. Don't get me wrong...I adore Judy and her post usually liven things up quite a bit, but sometimes I don't understand why she finds it amusing to be hurtful. becky-bear On Wed, 1 Apr 1998 18:55:04 EST SwapPals writes: >Some of you just absolutely refuse to give a person a break don't you. >I just >do not get it. You emboss an image (say a PSX flower) -- I think you need to do it on a heavier paper, I think watercolor paper is preferred. and then you soak it a minute in water, after which, you should be able to use a stylus to push up the paper from the opposite side, giving a 3-D look. (I saw a question on vellum, but I guess I was not sure exactly what you were asking. Maybe that a black dye ink wasn't dark enough? I think a Fabrico or Crafter's would work, but it would have to be heatset and depending on what the end use would be, I guess I wouldn't do it with a heatgun, because the vellum tends to warp... maybe an iron would work. But in either case, I have found that the vellum (the one I have at any rate), gets really brittle and can't be folded very easily without tearing it after. Just thinking out loud....Helpful?)
