I had a lot of fun putting the card together. A lot of you have asked how I did some things and what some of the components were, so (at the suggestion of one of our members) I thought I would answer all the questions for everyone. (and for those of you who haven't gotten this card from me yet, never fear, you will... I'll be sending the rest out at the end of this weekend) The background was either black or dark purple cardstock that I sprayed with gold, white and black spray webbing. The gold on the corners, (rope design, corners, or "lacy" design) are CLASS A'PEELS stickers, and the green "glass" on the bow is green Liquid crystal. One other little thing I did, was to run the edges of the caramel center card over a black stamp pad, I thought it helped blend the cut edges of the card with the background for a more finished look. Thank you so very much! I am sorry to post late. I wanted to describe the wonderful things that were in my package, and kept putting it off due to the BUSY week and then over a week went by. I'm sorry to worry you. Thank you for all you do! Diane This message was from IDMATCHR - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I pulled this cute little mail box (complete with the red "flag" that moves) out of the envelope and opened it up, the inside says "YOU HAVE MAIL!" and there is a itty bitty pink envelope with an itty bitty stamp attached to it. Out of this itty bitty envelope is an itty bitty card that shows a cat with wings sitting on top of a mailbox reading a letter and it says SOME PEOPLE HAVE COMPUTERS BUT EVERYBODY HAS A MAILBOX! Thank You Robin, this is very clever Cindy Fitzgerald This message was from Cindy - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Y'all know we are trying to open a RStamping/SBooking store, right? Well, we have been negotiating with the people for the spot we want. The space is in a very small, one-story mall with a grocery store, restaurant, fabric store, book store, and a bunch of other stores. It also has a play area in the center of the mall. It is 1200 sql. ft. It will need to have carpet put in, which we will have to do. We will also have to do our own displays and place to put the cash register. We did look at some other spots within a mile radius that had a little lower rent, but their locations weren't as good. Either they were stuck off the road, or in an out of the way shopping strip. This suite that we are looking at is right at the entrance to the mall and right beside a busy restaurant, so we thought we would also be in a good location for walk-by traffic. They originally wanted $1600 a month. We freaked a little, and offered $1300 a month, knowing they wouldn't take it, but hoping to get a counter offer. Anyway, they said "no." So we offered $1425 a month. This is what they e-mailed me back with: Rent: Please understand that included in your proposed rent of $1,425.00 per month is approximately $321.65 of estimated NNN charges for 1998. The NNN charges include Common Area Maintenance, Insurance and Real Estate Taxes, items that change each year which means the $321.65 is subject to fluctuation either down or up. This is why we cannot offer a flat total of $1,425 per month. Therefore, please note below that the amounts below need to have the NNN charges added. Base Rent Months 1 - 12 $1,103.35 per month + NNN charges (for '98 approx. $321.65 per month) Months 13-24 $1,135.00 per month + NNN charges Months 25-36 $1,184.00 per month + NNN charges Months 37-48 $1,233.00 per month + NNN charges Months 49-60 $1,283.00 per month + NNN charges ______________________________________________________ Is it normal to have the rent go up like that each year? I just wish I knew how much we could bring in a month in a store, so I wouldn't feel intimidated by the rent. So what do y'all think? Thanks! FBI agents conducted a raid of a psychiatric hospital in San Diego that was under investigation for medical insurance fraud. After hours of reviewing thousands of medical records, the dozens of agents had worked up quite an appetite. The agent in charge of the investigation called a nearby pizza parlor with delivery service to order a quick dinner for his colleagues. The following telephone conversation took place and was recorded by the FBI because they were taping all conversations at the hospital. Agent: Hello. I would like to order 19 large pizzas and 67 cans of soda. Pizza Man: And where would you like them delivered? Agent: We're over at the psychiatric hospital. Pizza Man: The psychiatric hospital? Agent: That's right. I'm an FBI agent. Pizza Man: You're an FBI agent? Agent: That's correct. Just about everybody here is. Pizza Man: And you're at the psychiatric hospital? Agent: That's correct. And make sure you don't go through the front doors. We have them locked. You will have to go around to the back to the service entrance to deliver the pizzas. Pizza Man: And you say you're all FBI agents? Agent: That's right. How soon can you have them here? Pizza Man: And everyone at the psychiatric hospital is an FBI agent? Agent: That's right. We've been here all day and we're starving. Pizza Man: How are you going to pay for all of this? Agent: I have my checkbook right here. Pizza Man: And you're all FBI agents? Agent: That's right. Everyone here is an FBI agent. Can you remember to bring the pizzas and sodas to the service entrance in the rear? We have the front doors locked. Pizza Man: I don't think so.
