This was such a lovely and amazing group of cards! Everyone took the theme and came up with something different and lovely. Deep cardstock was used, a pastel look, a bold and bright card and watercolors and a book. Everything so different from the other and so gorgous! Thank-you to Sandy for hosting and for her card Sandy used deep purple cardstock, stamped and embossed a most beautiful poem about rainbows in black and also some rainbow like sparkles coming off the ep. She then made a rainbow over the side of the poem, using gold and interference colors that shimmer. (Hope I am getting this right, not sure that is what you used here) and also a fancy edged cut out of Greetings from somewhere over the rainbow. Inside was yet another lovely verse-God's Love is a Rainbow We Can Carry in Our Hearts. Such a lovely card. Anita B. used glossy cardstock to color with bright rainbow colors, which were then ep'd over with clear, The verse in the middled of the rainbow is "It takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow! A sun is in one cornor and a rainbow ribbon with some fine gold cording attached on the other corner. Lovely card. Rubbearheart -Paula used a pastel look to produce another lovely card. It took me awhile to figure out how she did the background and then I realized, this is pastel rainbowy wallpaper. It looks so well, used this way as a background to the 3'd Rainbow is my favorite color. The bottom is fiscar edged and she sponged in or colored in pale pink on the cardstock that shows beneath and with a rainbow ink she stamped inside and embossed Your Friendship Lifts My Heart. Lovely card. Raine for a totallly different look, used watercolors and used them to such great advantage. Makes me want to take out the watercolors. She cut out her card with fancy edging all around and layered a background water colored, fancy cut background in blues purples and greens and on top of that background sits a rainbow colored fish. Lovely card. Sue made a little book. I thought I would only get to see pictures of little books. Can't beleive I get to examine one and see how really neat they are. Lovely little rainbow book If we Look Down We Will Never see Stars. Used wire to put in the little holes and beads, a little heart charm. Fun. Thank-you all so much!! We did one of these earlier in the year and it was great fun. This swap is to be done in two separate steps. Part A: 1. On 5 sheets of 81/2 x 11 cardstock stamp and emboss 4 or more images of the same stamp. Use your judgement to decide how many will comfortably fit on one sheet of cardstock. (An extra sheet for the hostess would be nice but not necessary) 2. Write the name and/or company of the stamp and your email addy on the sheets. 3. Color one of the images on each sheet. (Your choice of medium) 4. Send to me by April 30. When you sign up, I'll send you my addy. Part B: 1. You will receive 5 sheets with different images. 2. Make a card using one of the images from each of the sheets and return to the hostess by June 1. Do not use the colored image you received in the card you make. That is there only as a guide. You will actually make 5 cards. 3. You will eventually receive 5 cards for the images you submitted. Send two return labels and $3 postage or cash (no strips or checks) to cover both exchanges. If interested email me. There will be a limited number of players because I want to be able to keep everything straight. Our Learning store had colored pencils, markers, and crayons in these colors. Also packs o paper, and shapes like hands and little people.
